When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.

Lot didn’t move right away. So the men grabbed him by the hand. They also took hold of the hands of his wife and two daughters. They led all of them safely out of the city. The Lord had mercy on them.

But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.

When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful.

But he hesitated. Because of the LORD’s compassion for him, the men grabbed his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters. They brought him out and left him outside the city.

蓋語摩西曰、我所矜恤者矜恤之、我所憐憫者憐憫之、如是、非由人願、非由人力、原文作如是非由願者非由趨者乃由矜恤之天主、

惟主知拯救虔敬之人、脫於苦難、而留不義之人、待審判之日受刑、

無論何人、若欲生存、羨慕遐齡、並望享福、

主仍因己之名拯救之、以彰顯大能、

拯救我、非由我行義之功、乃由其矜恤、使我受洗重生、賜我聖神以復新、原文作拯救我非由我行義之功乃由重生之洗與聖神之復新而救我儕

主行奇事、令人記憶、主施恩惠、發憐憫、

主經行摩西前宣告曰、耶和華乃自有之主、乃矜憐慈愛容忍、大施恩惠、大有誠實之天主、

祝謝天主、我主耶穌基督之父、即憐憫之父、賜諸慰藉之天主、

稅吏遠立、不敢舉目仰天、搥胸曰、天主、矜憐我罪人、

惟主乃矜憐慈愛容忍之天主、大施恩惠、大有誠實、

彼遭患難、主亦憂戚、使當前之使者拯救之、發慈愛矜恤以贖之、在古昔之時、恆提攜之、保抱之、

爾曹當稱頌主、因主至善、主之恩惠、永遠常存、

我遵守主之誡命、迅速不敢遲延、

主曾云、我耶和華乃忍怒大施恩惠、赦宥愆尤罪過、惟罪當罰、斷無不罰、罰父之罪、以及子孫、至於三四代、

爾當稱頌主、因主至善、主之恩永遠長存、

惟主至善、赦免罪愆、凡呼籲主者、主為之大施恩惠、

爾曹當稱頌主、因主至善、主之恩惠、永遠長存、

主發慈愛矜憐、不遽動怒、大施恩寵、不常久責備、不永遠懷怒、未嘗按我之罪惡待我、未嘗依我之過犯報我、

阿勒盧亞、爾曹當稱頌主、因主至善、主之恩惠、永遠長存、

我儕尚不盡滅、乃因主之仁慈、主之矜恤、猶未窮盡、

遣我之父不引之、則無人能就我、就我者、我於末日復活之、

惟天主之矜恤甚宏、以大愛愛我儕、當我儕陷於罪愆若死之時、乃使我儕同基督復活、爾曹以恩得救矣、

敬畏主者、主憐恤之、如父之憐恤其子、

民曰、天主歟、何神能比主、主之遺民、主之遺民原文作主業之遺餘者有愆尤罪惡、主乃赦宥之、主以矜憫為悅、不恆懷怒、主必復矜憫我、除我愆尤、以民之諸罪、投諸深淵、

惟爾愛敵而善待之、借與人而不望償、則爾之賞大、且將為至上者之子、蓋彼施仁於負恩與不善者、是以爾當憐憫、如爾父之憐憫然、

約書亞命昔窺探斯地之二人曰、爾入妓之室、攜其婦出、及凡所有、循爾向彼所誓之言、
