When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.

Lot didn’t move right away. So the men grabbed him by the hand. They also took hold of the hands of his wife and two daughters. They led all of them safely out of the city. The Lord had mercy on them.

But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.

When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful.

主知道搭救敬虔的人脱离试探，把不义的人留在刑罚之下，等候审判的日子。

耶和华你神原是有怜悯的神；他总不撇下你，不灭绝你，也不忘记他起誓与你列祖所立的约。

有何人喜好存活，爱慕长寿，得享美福，

然而，他因自己的名拯救他们，为要彰显他的大能，

他便救了我们；并不是因我们自己所行的义，乃是照他的怜悯，藉着重生的洗和圣灵的更新。

他行了奇事，使人记念；耶和华有恩惠，有怜悯。

耶和华在他面前宣告说：“耶和华，耶和华，是有怜悯有恩典的神，不轻易发怒，并有丰盛的慈爱和诚实，

愿颂赞归与我们的主耶稣基督的父神，就是发慈悲的父，赐各样安慰的神。

那税吏远远地站着，连举目望天也不敢，只捶着胸说：‘神啊，开恩可怜我这个罪人！’

主啊，你是有怜悯有恩典的神，不轻易发怒，并有丰盛的慈爱和诚实。

他们在一切苦难中，他也同受苦难；并且他面前的使者拯救他们；他以慈爱和怜悯救赎他们；在古时的日子常保抱他们，怀搋他们。

你们要称谢耶和华，因他本为善；他的慈爱永远长存！

我急忙遵守你的命令，并不迟延。

‘耶和华不轻易发怒，并有丰盛的慈爱，赦免罪孽和过犯；万不以有罪的为无罪，必追讨他的罪，自父及子，直到三、四代。’

应当称谢耶和华；因他本为善，他的慈爱永远长存！

主啊，你本为良善，乐意饶恕人，有丰盛的慈爱赐给凡求告你的人。

你们要称谢耶和华，因他本为善；他的慈爱永远长存！

耶和华有怜悯，有恩典，不轻易发怒，且有丰盛的慈爱。他不长久责备，也不永远怀怒。他没有按我们的罪过待我们，也没有照我们的罪孽报应我们。

你们要赞美耶和华！要称谢耶和华，因他本为善；他的慈爱永远长存！

我们不至消灭，是出于耶和华诸般的慈爱；是因他的怜悯不致断绝。

若不是差我来的父吸引人，就没有能到我这里来的；到我这里来的，在末日我要叫他复活。

然而，神既有丰富的怜悯，因他爱我们的大爱，当我们死在过犯中的时候，便叫我们与基督一同活过来（你们得救是本乎恩）。

父亲怎样怜恤他的儿女，耶和华也怎样怜恤敬畏他的人！

神啊，有何神像你，赦免罪孽，饶恕你产业之余民的罪过，不永远怀怒，喜爱施恩？必再怜悯我们，将我们的罪孽踏在脚下，又将我们的一切罪投于深海。

你们倒要爱仇敌，也要善待他们，并要借给人不指望偿还，你们的赏赐就必大了，你们也必作至高者的儿子，因为他恩待那忘恩的和作恶的。你们要慈悲，像你们的父慈悲一样。”

约书亚吩咐窥探地的两个人说：“你们进那妓女的家，照着你们向她所起的誓，将那女人和她所有的都从那里带出来。”

如此看来，神要怜悯谁就怜悯谁，要叫谁刚硬就叫谁刚硬。
