When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.

Lot didn’t move right away. So the men grabbed him by the hand. They also took hold of the hands of his wife and two daughters. They led all of them safely out of the city. The Lord had mercy on them.

But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.

When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful.

祂曾对摩西说：“我要怜悯谁就怜悯谁，要恩待谁就恩待谁。”可见这并不在于人的意志和努力，而在于祂的怜悯。

上帝知道怎样拯救敬虔的人脱离试炼，把不义的人拘禁在刑罚之下，等候审判的日子，

你们要称谢耶和华，因为祂是美善的，祂的慈爱永远长存。

因为你们的上帝耶和华充满怜悯，祂不会抛弃你们，灭绝你们，也不会忘记祂与你们祖先所立的誓约。

若有人热爱生命，渴望长寿和幸福，

但祂为了自己的名拯救了他们，以彰显祂的大能。

借着重生之洗和圣灵的更新拯救了我们，这并非因为我们有义行，而是因为祂的怜悯。

祂的奇妙作为令人无法忘怀。耶和华充满怜悯和恩惠。

但主啊，你是有怜悯和恩典的上帝，不轻易发怒，充满慈爱，无比信实。

祂苦他们所苦，亲自拯救他们。祂本着慈爱和怜悯救赎了他们，自古以来一直扶持、照顾他们。

你们要称谢耶和华，因为祂是美善的；祂的慈爱永远长存。

我毫不迟疑地遵守你的命令。

‘耶和华不轻易发怒，充满慈爱；祂赦免罪恶和过犯，但决不免除罪责，必向子孙追讨父辈的罪债，直到三四代。’

要称谢耶和华，因为祂是美善的，祂的慈爱永远长存！

主啊，你良善仁慈，乐意赦免，以无限的慈爱待一切求告你的人。

你们要称谢耶和华，因为祂是美善的，祂的慈爱永远长存。

耶和华有怜悯和恩典，不轻易发怒，充满慈爱。祂不永久责备人，也不永远怀怒。祂没有按我们的过犯对待我们，也没有照我们的罪恶惩罚我们。

你们要赞美耶和华！要称谢耶和华，因为祂是美善的，祂的慈爱永远长存！

就是耶和华的慈爱永不终止，祂的怜悯永无穷尽。

如果不是差我来的父吸引人到我这里来，没有人能来。到我这里来的，在末日，我要叫他复活。

然而上帝有丰富的怜悯，祂深爱我们，尽管我们死在过犯之中，祂仍然使我们和基督一同活了过来。你们得救是因为上帝的恩典。

耶和华怜爱敬畏祂的人，如同慈父怜爱自己的儿女。

有何神明像你一样赦免罪恶，饶恕你幸存子民的过犯？你不会永远发怒，因为你乐于施恩。你必再怜悯我们，将我们的罪恶践踏在脚下，把我们的一切过犯抛进深海。

“然而，要爱你们的仇敌，善待他们；无论借出什么，都不要指望归还。这样，你们将有大赏赐，并且将成为至高者的儿子，因为祂以恩慈待那些忘恩负义和作恶的人。你们要怜悯人，像你们的天父怜悯人一样。

约书亚对那两个探子说：“你们到那个妓女家里，照着你们向她起过的誓，把她和她的家人都带出来。”

总之，上帝要怜悯谁，就怜悯谁；要叫谁顽固，就叫谁顽固。
