把那隻肥牛犢牽來宰了，讓我們一同歡宴慶祝！

王再派其他奴僕去，說，『去告訴被邀請的人，我的宴席已經備好，公牛和肥畜都宰了，一切都預備妥當，來赴婚宴吧！』

你們躺在象牙床上，靠在臥榻上，你們吃養在圈裡的肥嫩牛羊。

瑪挪亞說：「請你留下來，我們要預備一隻山羊羔給你吃。」當時，瑪挪亞仍然不知道那人是耶和華的天使。天使說：「我就是留下來也不會吃你預備的食物。如果你預備燔祭，就把它獻給耶和華吧！」

許願時說要獻上羊群中的公羊，後來卻拿傷殘的來獻給主，這種人該受咒詛！因為我是大君王，就是外族人也敬畏我的名。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。」

羅得執意邀請他們，他們便答應到他家裡作客。羅得設宴款待他們，烤無酵餅給他們吃。
