Then he said,“ Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak only this once: suppose ten are found there?” And He said,“ I will not destroy it on account of the ten.”

亚伯拉罕说：“请我主不要动怒，容我问这最后的一次，假如在那里找到十个呢？”他回答：“我因这十个的缘故，也不毁灭那城。”

亚伯拉罕再次说：“请我主不要恼火，容我说最后一次，假如在那里找到十个呢？”耶和华说：“因这十个的缘故，我也不会毁灭那城。”

曰、願主毋怒、容我言之、惟此一次、假令十人、則何如、曰、緣十人、吾亦弗滅、

曰主毋怒、敢復進一辭而後已、或止十人、則何如。曰、十人吾亦弗滅。

曰、求主毋怒、我惟此一言、若邑中遇十人則何如、曰、緣十人我亦不滅、

Then he said,“ May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?” He answered,“ For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.”

Then he said,“ Lord, please don’t be angry with me. Let me speak just one more time. What if only ten can be found there?” He answered,“ If I find ten, I will not destroy it.”

Then he said,“ Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak again but this once. Suppose ten are found there.” He answered,“ For the sake of ten I will not destroy it.”

Finally, Abraham said,“ Lord, please don’t be angry with me if I speak one more time. Suppose only ten are found there?” And the Lord replied,“ Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”

Then he said,“ Let my lord not be angry, and I will speak one more time. Suppose ten are found there?” He answered,“ I will not destroy it on account of ten.”

Then he said,“ Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?” And He said,“ I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.”

And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for the ten’s sake.

Then he said,“ Let the Lord not be angry, and I will speak one more time. Suppose 10 are found there?” He answered,“ I will not destroy it on account of 10.”

And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy[ it] for ten’s sake.

Finally Abraham said,“ May the Lord not be angry so that I may speak just once more. What if ten are found there?” He replied,“ I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”

He said,“ Oh don’t let the Lord be angry, and I will speak just once more. What if ten are found there?” He said,“ I will not destroy it for the ten’s sake.”

Then Gideon said to God,“ Do not let Your anger burn against me, so that I may speak only one more time; please let me put You to the test only one more time with the fleece: let it now be dry only on the fleece, and let there be dew on all the ground.”

and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much.Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.If anyone sees his brother or sister committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will, for him, give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death; I am not saying that he should ask about that.

So the Lord relented of the harm which He said He would do to His people.

Then he said,“ If in any way I have found favor in Your sight, Lord, please may the Lord go along in our midst, even though the people are so obstinate, and pardon our wrongdoing and our sin, and take us as Your own possession.”Then God said,“ Behold, I am going to make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform miracles which have not been produced in all the earth nor among any of the nations; and all the people among whom you live will see the working of the Lord, for it is a fearful thing that I am going to perform with you.

Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed,“ The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in faithfulness and truth;who keeps faithfulness for thousands, who forgives wrongdoing, violation of His Law, and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, inflicting the punishment of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.

And the Lord said to Moses,“ How long will this people be disrespectful to Me? And how long will they not believe in Me, despite all the signs that I have performed in their midst?I will strike them with plague and dispossess them, and I will make you into a nation greater and mightier than they.”But Moses said to the Lord,“ Then the Egyptians will hear of it, for by Your strength You brought this people up from their midst,and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, Lord, are in the midst of this people, because You, Lord, are seen eye to eye, while Your cloud stands over them; and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night.Now if You put this people to death all at once, then the nations who have heard of Your fame will say,‘ Since the Lord could not bring this people into the land which He promised them by oath, He slaughtered them in the wilderness.’So now, please, let the power of the Lord be great, just as You have declared, saying,‘ The Lord is slow to anger and abundant in mercy, forgiving wrongdoing and violation of His Law; but He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, inflicting the punishment of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generations.’Please forgive the guilt of this people in accordance with the greatness of Your mercy, just as You also have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.”So the Lord said,“ I have forgiven them in accordance with your word;

This is what the Lord says:“ Just as the new wine is found in the cluster, And one says,‘ Do not destroy it, for there is benefit in it,’ So I will act in behalf of My servants In order not to destroy all of them.

Who is a God like You, who pardons wrongdoing And passes over a rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy.

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all who call upon You.

Then he said,“ Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak; suppose thirty are found there?” And He said,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

“ If there is an interceding angel for him, One out of a thousand, To remind a person of what is right for him,

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ I have seen this people, and behold, they are an obstinate people.So now leave Me alone, that My anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them; and I will make of you a great nation.”

Now then, if I have found favor in Your sight in any way, please let me know Your ways so that I may know You, in order that I may find favor in Your sight. Consider too, that this nation is Your people.”And He said,“ My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.”

“ I am the Lord, I have called You in righteousness, I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You, And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the nations,To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the dungeon And those who dwell in darkness from the prison.
