And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for the ten’s sake.

亚伯拉罕又说：“求主不要发怒，让我问最后一次，倘若在那里只找到十个义人呢？”耶和华说：“为了那十个人的缘故，我也不会毁灭那城。”

亚伯拉罕说：“请我主不要动怒，容我问这最后的一次，假如在那里找到十个呢？”他回答：“我因这十个的缘故，也不毁灭那城。”

曰、願主毋怒、容我言之、惟此一次、假令十人、則何如、曰、緣十人、吾亦弗滅、

曰主毋怒、敢復進一辭而後已、或止十人、則何如。曰、十人吾亦弗滅。

曰、求主毋怒、我惟此一言、若邑中遇十人則何如、曰、緣十人我亦不滅、

Then he said,“ May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?” He answered,“ For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.”

Then he said,“ Lord, please don’t be angry with me. Let me speak just one more time. What if only ten can be found there?” He answered,“ If I find ten, I will not destroy it.”

Then he said,“ Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak again but this once. Suppose ten are found there.” He answered,“ For the sake of ten I will not destroy it.”

Finally, Abraham said,“ Lord, please don’t be angry with me if I speak one more time. Suppose only ten are found there?” And the Lord replied,“ Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”

Then he said,“ Let my lord not be angry, and I will speak one more time. Suppose ten are found there?” He answered,“ I will not destroy it on account of ten.”

Then he said,“ Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak only this once: suppose ten are found there?” And He said,“ I will not destroy it on account of the ten.”

Then he said,“ Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?” And He said,“ I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.”

Then he said,“ Let the Lord not be angry, and I will speak one more time. Suppose 10 are found there?” He answered,“ I will not destroy it on account of 10.”

And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy[ it] for ten’s sake.

Finally Abraham said,“ May the Lord not be angry so that I may speak just once more. What if ten are found there?” He replied,“ I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”

He said,“ Oh don’t let the Lord be angry, and I will speak just once more. What if ten are found there?” He said,“ I will not destroy it for the ten’s sake.”

And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be kindled against me, and I will speak but this once: let me make trial, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.

and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him.Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.Elijah was a man of like passions with us, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain; and it rained not on the earth for three years and six months.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

and if we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.If any man see his brother sinning a sin not unto death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: not concerning this do I say that he should make request.

And Jehovah repented of the evil which he said he would do unto his people.

And he said, If now I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, let the Lord, I pray thee, go in the midst of us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been wrought in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of Jehovah; for it is a terrible thing that I do with thee.

And Jehovah passed by before him, and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth,keeping lovingkindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin; and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah; But the prayer of the upright is his delight.

And Jehovah said unto Moses, How long will this people despise me? and how long will they not believe in me, for all the signs which I have wrought among them?I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a nation greater and mightier than they.And Moses said unto Jehovah, Then the Egyptians will hear it; for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that thou Jehovah art in the midst of this people; for thou Jehovah art seen face to face, and thy cloud standeth over them, and thou goest before them, in a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night.Now if thou shalt kill this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying,Because Jehovah was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness.And now, I pray thee, let the power of the Lord be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,Jehovah is slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression; and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation.Pardon, I pray thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy lovingkindness, and according as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.And Jehovah said, I have pardoned according to thy word:

Thus saith Jehovah, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not, for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants’ sake, that I may not destroy them all.

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in lovingkindness.

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness unto all them that call upon thee.

And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

If there be with him an angel, An interpreter, one among a thousand, To show unto man what is right for him;

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

And Jehovah said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.

Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found favor in thy sight, show me now thy ways, that I may know thee, to the end that I may find favor in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

I, Jehovah, have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thy hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison- house.
