Then he said,“ May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

Then Abraham said,“ Lord, please don’t be angry with me. Let me speak. What if only 30 can be found there?” He answered,“ If I find 30, I will not do it.”

Then he said,“ Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak. Suppose thirty are found there.” He answered,“ I will not do it, if I find thirty there.”

“ Please don’t be angry, my Lord,” Abraham pleaded.“ Let me speak— suppose only thirty righteous people are found?” And the Lord replied,“ I will not destroy it if I find thirty.”

Then he said,“ Let my lord not be angry, and I will speak further. Suppose thirty are found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

Then he said,“ Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak; suppose thirty are found there?” And He said,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

Then he said,“ Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Suppose thirty should be found there?” So He said,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

Then he said,“ Let the Lord not be angry, and I will speak further. Suppose 30 are found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it if I find 30 there.”

And he said[ unto him], Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do[ it], if I find thirty there.

Then Abraham said,“ May the Lord not be angry so that I may speak! What if thirty are found there?” He replied,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

a very awesome God in the council of the holy ones, to be feared above all those who are around him?

For he who avenges blood remembers them. He doesn’t forget the cry of the afflicted.

“ All the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, know, that whoever, whether man or woman, comes to the king into the inner court without being called, there is one law for him, that he be put to death, except those to whom the king might hold out the golden scepter, that he may live. I have not been called to come in to the king these thirty days.”They told Esther’s words to Mordecai.Then Mordecai asked them to return this answer to Esther:“ Don’t think to yourself that you will escape in the king’s house any more than all the Jews.For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”Then Esther asked them to answer Mordecai,“ Go, gather together all the Jews who are present in Susa, and fast for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day. I and my maidens will also fast the same way. Then I will go in to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish.”

Yahweh, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,

Then I said,“ Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell among a people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh of Armies!”

Then Judah came near to him, and said,“ Oh, my lord, please let your servant speak a word in my lord’s ears, and don’t let your anger burn against your servant; for you are even as Pharaoh.

“ Behold, I am of small account. What will I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth.

Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that can’t be shaken, let’s have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe,for our God is a consuming fire.

Gideon said to God,“ Don’t let your anger be kindled against me, and I will speak but this once. Please let me make a trial just this once with the fleece. Let it now be dry only on the fleece, and on all the ground let there be dew.”
