Then Abraham said,“ May the Lord not be angry so that I may speak! What if thirty are found there?” He replied,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

亚伯拉罕说：“请我主不要动怒，容我再问：‘假如在那里找到三十个呢？’”他回答：“我若在那里找到三十个，也不这样作。”

亚伯拉罕接着说：“请我主不要恼火，容我说，假如在那里找到三十个呢？”耶和华说：“如果我在那里找到三十个，我也不会这样做。”

曰、願主毋怒、容我言之、假令三十人、則何如、曰、有三十人、亦弗行是、

曰、主毋怒、我有一言、若三十人則何如。曰、三十人、亦弗行是。

亞伯拉罕曰、求主毋怒、容我言、若邑中遇三十人則何如、曰、我若遇三十人亦不行是、

Then he said,“ May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

Then Abraham said,“ Lord, please don’t be angry with me. Let me speak. What if only 30 can be found there?” He answered,“ If I find 30, I will not do it.”

Then he said,“ Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak. Suppose thirty are found there.” He answered,“ I will not do it, if I find thirty there.”

“ Please don’t be angry, my Lord,” Abraham pleaded.“ Let me speak— suppose only thirty righteous people are found?” And the Lord replied,“ I will not destroy it if I find thirty.”

Then he said,“ Let my lord not be angry, and I will speak further. Suppose thirty are found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

Then he said,“ Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak; suppose thirty are found there?” And He said,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

Then he said,“ Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Suppose thirty should be found there?” So He said,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

Then he said,“ Let the Lord not be angry, and I will speak further. Suppose 30 are found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it if I find 30 there.”

And he said[ unto him], Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do[ it], if I find thirty there.

He said,“ Oh don’t let the Lord be angry, and I will speak. What if there are thirty found there?” He said,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

a God who is honored in the great angelic assembly, and more awesome than all who surround him?

For the one who takes revenge against murderers took notice of the oppressed; he did not overlook their cry for help

“ All the servants of the king and the people of the king’s provinces know that there is only one law applicable to any man or woman who comes uninvited to the king in the inner court– that person will be put to death, unless the king extends to him the gold scepter, permitting him to be spared. Now I have not been invited to come to the king for some thirty days!”When Esther’s reply was conveyed to Mordecai,he said to take back this answer to Esther:“ Don’t imagine that because you are part of the king’s household you will be the one Jew who will escape. If you keep quiet at this time, liberation and protection for the Jews will appear from another source, while you and your father’s household perish. It may very well be that you have achieved royal status for such a time as this!”Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai:“ Go, assemble all the Jews who are found in Susa and fast in my behalf. Don’t eat and don’t drink for three days, night or day. My female attendants and I will also fast in the same way. Afterward I will go to the king, even though it violates the law. If I perish, I perish!”

LORD, you have heard the request of the oppressed; you make them feel secure because you listen to their prayer.

I said,“ Too bad for me! I am destroyed, for my lips are contaminated by sin, and I live among people whose lips are contaminated by sin. My eyes have seen the king, the LORD who commands armies.”

Then Judah approached him and said,“ My lord, please allow your servant to speak a word with you. Please do not get angry with your servant, for you are just like Pharaoh.

“ Indeed, I am completely unworthy– how could I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth to silence myself.

So since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe.For our God is indeed a devouring fire.

Gideon said to God,“ Please do not get angry at me, when I ask for just one more sign. Please allow me one more test with the fleece. This time make only the fleece dry, while the ground around it is covered with dew.”

“ Indeed, my plans are not like your plans, and my deeds are not like your deeds,for just as the sky is higher than the earth, so my deeds are superior to your deeds and my plans superior to your plans.
