亚伯拉罕说：“求主不要动怒，容我说，假若在那里见有三十个怎么样呢？”他说：“我在那里若见有三十个，我也不做这事。”

亚伯拉罕说：“求主不要发怒，容许我再问一次，倘若在那里只找到三十个义人呢？”耶和华说：“倘若在那里只找到三十个，我也不会毁灭那城。”

亚伯拉罕说：“请我主不要动怒，容我再问：‘假如在那里找到三十个呢？’”他回答：“我若在那里找到三十个，也不这样作。”

亚伯拉罕接着说：“请我主不要恼火，容我说，假如在那里找到三十个呢？”耶和华说：“如果我在那里找到三十个，我也不会这样做。”

Then he said,“ May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

Then Abraham said,“ Lord, please don’t be angry with me. Let me speak. What if only 30 can be found there?” He answered,“ If I find 30, I will not do it.”

Then he said,“ Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak. Suppose thirty are found there.” He answered,“ I will not do it, if I find thirty there.”

“ Please don’t be angry, my Lord,” Abraham pleaded.“ Let me speak— suppose only thirty righteous people are found?” And the Lord replied,“ I will not destroy it if I find thirty.”

Then he said,“ Let my lord not be angry, and I will speak further. Suppose thirty are found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

Then he said,“ Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak; suppose thirty are found there?” And He said,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

Then he said,“ Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Suppose thirty should be found there?” So He said,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

Then he said,“ Let the Lord not be angry, and I will speak further. Suppose 30 are found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it if I find 30 there.”

And he said[ unto him], Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do[ it], if I find thirty there.

Then Abraham said,“ May the Lord not be angry so that I may speak! What if thirty are found there?” He replied,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

He said,“ Oh don’t let the Lord be angry, and I will speak. What if there are thirty found there?” He said,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; he is more awesome than all who surround him. (niv)

And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai:“ Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.” (niv)

You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, (niv)

“ Woe to me!” I cried.“ I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” (niv)

Then Judah went up to him and said:“ Pardon your servant, my lord, let me speak a word to my lord. Do not be angry with your servant, though you are equal to Pharaoh himself. (niv)

Then Gideon said to God,“ Do not be angry with me. Let me make just one more request. Allow me one more test with the fleece, but this time make the fleece dry and let the ground be covered with dew.” (niv)

“ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.“ As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (niv)
