Then Abraham asked,“ Since I have undertaken to speak to the Lord( although I am but dust and ashes),

亚伯拉罕说：“我虽然是灰尘，还敢对主说话。

亚伯拉罕回答说：“看哪，我虽只是尘土灰烬，还敢向主说话。

亚伯拉罕回答说：“看哪，我虽只是尘土灰烬，还敢向主说话。

亚伯拉罕说：“主啊，虽然我渺小如灰尘，但我还要大胆地求问你，

亚伯拉罕回答，说：“我虽然是灰尘，还大胆地对我主说话。

亚伯拉罕回应说：“看哪，尽管我是尘土和灰烬，也容我斗胆向我主说，

亞伯拉罕說：「我雖然是灰塵，還敢對主說話。

亞伯拉罕回答說：「看哪，我雖只是塵土灰燼，還敢向主說話。

亞伯拉罕回答說：「看哪，我雖只是塵土灰燼，還敢向主說話。

亞伯拉罕說：「主啊，雖然我渺小如灰塵，但我還要大膽地求問你，

亞伯拉罕回答，說：“我雖然是灰塵，還大膽地對我主說話。

亞伯拉罕回答說：『我雖是塵土爐灰，還敢對主說話。

亞伯拉罕回應說：「看哪，儘管我是塵土和灰燼，也容我斗膽向我主說，

亞伯拉罕曰、我雖為灰塵、敢告於主、

亞伯拉罕曰、吾雖若纖塵、而敢上告、

亞伯拉罕曰、我雖若灰塵、敢告主、

Then Abraham spoke up again:“ Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes,

Then Abraham spoke up again. He said,“ I have been very bold to speak to the Lord. After all, I’m only dust and ashes.

Abraham answered and said,“ Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, I who am but dust and ashes.

Then Abraham spoke again.“ Since I have begun, let me speak further to my Lord, even though I am but dust and ashes.

Then Abraham answered,“ Since I have ventured to speak to my lord— even though I am dust and ashes—

And Abraham replied,“ Now behold, I have ventured to speak to the Lord, although I am only dust and ashes.

Then Abraham answered and said,“ Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord:

And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, who am but dust and ashes:

Then Abraham answered,“ Since I have ventured to speak to the Lord— even though I am dust and ashes—

And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which[ am but] dust and ashes:

Abraham answered,“ See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord, although I am dust and ashes.

I said,“ Too bad for me! I am destroyed, for my lips are contaminated by sin, and I live among people whose lips are contaminated by sin. My eyes have seen the king, the LORD who commands armies.”

By the sweat of your brow you will eat food until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you will return.”

The first man is from the earth, made of dust; the second man is from heaven.Like the one made of dust, so too are those made of dust, and like the one from heaven, so too those who are heavenly.

and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the life’s breath returns to God who gave it.

how much more to those who live in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed like a moth?

Then Jesus told them a parable to show them they should always pray and not lose heart.

Yet, LORD, you are our father. We are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the product of your labor.

The LORD God formed the man from the soil of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,“ Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!”

He has flung me into the mud, and I have come to resemble dust and ashes.

Then Abraham said,“ May the Lord not be angry so that I may speak! What if thirty are found there?” He replied,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”Abraham said,“ Since I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty are found there?” He replied,“ I will not destroy it for the sake of the twenty.”Finally Abraham said,“ May the Lord not be angry so that I may speak just once more. What if ten are found there?” He replied,“ I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”

Of what importance is the human race, that you should notice them? Of what importance is mankind, that you should pay attention to them,

For we know that if our earthly house, the tent we live in, is dismantled, we have a building from God, a house not built by human hands, that is eternal in the heavens.For in this earthly house we groan, because we desire to put on our heavenly dwelling,

I prayed,“ O my God, I am ashamed and embarrassed to lift my face to you, my God! For our iniquities have climbed higher than our heads, and our guilt extends to the heavens.

O LORD, of what importance is the human race, that you should notice them? Of what importance is mankind, that you should be concerned about them?

Therefore I despise myself, and I repent in dust and ashes!After the LORD had spoken these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite,“ My anger is stirred up against you and your two friends, because you have not spoken about me what is right, as my servant Job has.So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and offer a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job will intercede for you, and I will respect him, so that I do not deal with you according to your folly, because you have not spoken about me what is right, as my servant Job has.”
