Far be it from you to do such a thing— to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?”

You would never kill godly people along with those who are evil, would you? Would you treat them all alike? You would never do anything like that! Won’t the Judge of the whole earth do what is right?”

Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?”

Surely you wouldn’t do such a thing, destroying the righteous along with the wicked. Why, you would be treating the righteous and the wicked exactly the same! Surely you wouldn’t do that! Should not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?”

You could not possibly do such a thing: to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. You could not possibly do that! Won’t the Judge of the whole earth do what is just?”

Far be it from You to do such a thing, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth deal justly?”

Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”

That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked, that so the righteous should be as the wicked; that be far from thee: shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

天主不棄篤實者、不援助惡人、

天主豈有偏斷、全能之主、豈有顛倒曲直、

彼時人必云、善人果有善報、在世間真有判斷之天主、

全能之主全能之主或作天主也其工純全、其一切道大公無私、乃誠實無妄之天主、至義至正、

爾宜語義者、必蒙福、必享己行之果報、禍哉惡人、必遭災害、必循其手所作而受報、

求審判世人之主興起、報應驕傲之人、

我今且按人言言之曰、若我儕之不義、顯彰天主之義、則何言哉、天主施刑、可謂其不義乎、非也、若然、則天主焉能審判世界乎、

因主必來審鞫天下、按公義審鞫世界、依正直判斷萬民、

蓋我眾皆必立於基督臺前、使各人循己身所為、或善或惡而受報、

我在虛度之中、已見此諸事、又見善人雖善反夭亡、惡人雖惡反長壽、

善人死亡、無人以為意、敬虔人逝世、無人知善人因世之惡而逝世、無人知善人因世之惡而逝世或作無人知善人因避將來之禍而逝世行正直道者、皆至平康之地、安息於長眠之所、安息於長眠之所原文作安臥於其床

是時爾必得見善人與惡人有別、有別原文作有何別下同事天主者與不事天主者有別、

父不審判人、乃以審判之事、悉委於子、使眾敬子、如敬父然、不敬子者、即不敬遣子之父、我誠告爾、聽我言而信遣我者得永生、不至定罪、乃已出死入生也、我誠告爾、時將至、今是矣、死者必聞天主子之聲、而聞之者必生、父在己有生、其賜子亦如是在己有生、且賜之權以審判、因其為人子也、

無論善惡、天主俱滅、故我言善惡無分、所遇皆同、天主若忽焉降災、誅戮世人、不顧無辜者受難、

我若與主爭辯、主必顯為至公、雖然、我猶敢與主理論、惡人之道途亨通、奸詐之人平康、何故哉、

惡人雖百次行惡、仍享遐齡、然我知敬畏天主者、在天主前存敬畏心者、終得享福、惡人不敬畏天主、終不得享福、雖長壽、不為長壽、如虛影而已、

善人、主必試驗、惡人與樂行兇暴者、主必憎惡、主將網羅、烈火、硫磺、熱風、降於惡人之身、此乃惡人當得之報、因主公義、喜悅公義、必面向正直之人、必面向正直之人或作正直之人必瞻仰主之面

不悅公義者、豈能操治世之權乎、爾何可視至公全能之主為不義乎、君王尚不可稱為非、侯伯尚不可稱為惡、況天主哉、不偏視王公、不異待貧富、蓋皆其手所造、
