其中二人转身向所多玛走去，亚伯拉罕却仍旧站在耶和华面前。

那两个天使在黄昏的时候来到所多玛，罗得正坐在城门口，看见他们，便起来迎接，俯伏在地上说：

耶和华的天使向那妇人显现，对她说：“你虽然多年不育，但不久你必怀孕生一个儿子。

自己独自留下。这时，有一个人来和他摔跤，直到黎明。

亚伯拉罕就向他们下拜，说：

约书亚走近耶利哥，举目看见一个人手里拿着拔出来的剑站在他面前。约书亚上前去问道：“你是来帮助我们的，还是来帮助我们敌人的？”

那三个人就起身朝所多玛眺望，亚伯拉罕与他们同行，要送他们一程。

犹大和他兄弟们回到约瑟家时，约瑟还在那里，他们就俯伏在他面前。

他们回答说：“你仆人——我们的父亲仍然健在、安康。”说完了，又向他下拜。

约瑟来了，他们就把带来的礼物献给他，向他俯伏下拜。

妇人就去对丈夫说：“有一位上帝的仆人向我显现，他的容貌像上帝的天使，非常可畏。我没有问他从哪里来，他也没有把名字告诉我。他对我说，‘你必怀孕生一个儿子，所以不可喝淡酒和烈酒，不可吃不洁之物，因为孩子一出生就要献给耶和华，终生做拿细耳人。’”玛挪亚向耶和华祈求说：“主啊，求你再派你的仆人到这里来，教我们怎样照顾要出生的孩子。”上帝应允了他的祈求。他妻子正坐在田间的时候，上帝的天使再次向她显现。当时她丈夫玛挪亚不在场。她赶忙跑去告诉她丈夫说：“那天来的那人又向我显现了。”玛挪亚立刻跟随妻子来到那人面前，问他：“那天跟我妻子说话的就是你吗？”他答道：“是我。”

他自己则走在他们前面，接连俯伏下拜七次，直到他哥哥跟前。以扫见到雅各，就跑上去拥抱他，亲吻他，二人抱头痛哭。以扫看见跟在雅各后面的妇女和孩子，就问：“这些和你同行的是谁？”雅各说：“这些孩子是上帝施恩赐给你仆人的。”雅各的两个婢女和她们的孩子上前下拜，利亚也和她的孩子上前下拜，最后约瑟和拉结也上前向以扫下拜。

路得就俯伏在地叩谢他，说：“我不过是个外族人，你为什么这样恩待我、体恤我？”

耶利哥的先知们从远处看见他，就说：“以利亚的灵降在以利沙身上了。”他们就上前迎接，俯伏在他面前，

信徒有缺乏，要慷慨帮助；客人来访，要热诚款待。

要互相接待，不发怨言，
