Sarah laughed within herself, saying,“ After I have grown old will I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”

撒拉心里暗笑，说：“我既已衰败，我主也老迈，岂能有这喜事呢？”

撒拉心里窃笑，说：“我已衰老，我的主也老了，怎能有这喜事呢？”

撒拉心里窃笑，说：“我已衰老，我的主也老了，怎能有这喜事呢？”

撒拉暗自发笑，心想：“我已经这么老了，还会有这种福气吗？况且我的丈夫也很老了。”

撒拉心里暗笑，说：“现在我已经衰老了，我的丈夫也老了，我还有房事的乐趣吗？”

撒拉暗笑，心里说：“我已经衰老，我的丈夫也老了，我还能有这等快乐吗？”

撒拉心裏暗笑，說：「我既已衰敗，我主也老邁，豈能有這喜事呢？」

撒拉心裏竊笑，說：「我已衰老，我的主也老了，怎能有這喜事呢？」

撒拉心裏竊笑，說：「我已衰老，我的主也老了，怎能有這喜事呢？」

撒拉暗自發笑，心想：「我已經這麼老了，還會有這種福氣嗎？況且我的丈夫也很老了。」

撒拉心裡暗笑，說：“現在我已經衰老了，我的丈夫也老了，我還有房事的樂趣嗎？”

撒拉肚子裏暗笑着說：『我已經衰敗，我的丈夫也老邁，哪裏還能有婚媾的樂趣呢？』

撒拉暗笑，心裡說：「我已經衰老，我的丈夫也老了，我還能有這等快樂嗎？」

竊哂曰、我老矣、吾主亦然、庸有喜乎、

故竊哂曰、我老矣、我主亦然、豈復有生子之樂乎。

撒拉竊哂云、我已衰矣、我主亦老、豈復有生子之樂乎、

So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought,“ After I am worn out and my lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?”

So she laughed to herself. She thought,“ I’m worn out, and my husband is old. Can I really know the joy of having a baby?”

So Sarah laughed to herself, saying,“ After I am worn out, and my lord is old, shall I have pleasure?”

So she laughed silently to herself and said,“ How could a worn out woman like me enjoy such pleasure, especially when my master— my husband— is also so old?”

So she laughed to herself:“ After I am worn out and my lord is old, will I have delight?”

So Sarah laughed to herself, saying,“ After I have become old, am I to have pleasure, my lord being old also?”

Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying,“ After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my Lord being old also?”

And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

So she laughed to herself:“ After I have become shriveled up and my lord is old, will I have delight?”

Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

So Sarah laughed to herself, thinking,“ After I am worn out will I have pleasure, especially when my husband is old too?”

So Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose children you now are, if you do well, and are not put in fear by any terror.

Then Abraham fell on his face, and laughed, and said in his heart,“ Will a child be born to him who is one hundred years old? Will Sarah, who is ninety years old, give birth?”

Zacharias said to the angel,“ How can I be sure of this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.”The angel answered him,“ I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God. I was sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news.Behold, you will be silent and not able to speak, until the day that these things will happen, because you didn’t believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time.”

Sarah said,“ God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears will laugh with me.”She said,“ Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.”

Mary said to the angel,“ How can this be, seeing I am a virgin?”The angel answered her,“ The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore also the holy one who is born from you will be called the Son of God.

Yahweh said to Abraham,“ Why did Sarah laugh, saying,‘ Will I really bear a child when I am old?’

Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations,“ Yahweh has done great things for them.”

By faith, even Sarah herself received power to conceive, and she bore a child when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who had promised.Therefore as many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as innumerable as the sand which is by the sea shore, were fathered by one man, and him as good as dead.

Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
