The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day.

亚伯兰迁移帐篷，来到希伯仑，在幔利的橡树那里居住，并在那里为耶和华筑了一座祭坛。

有一个逃脱的人来告诉希伯来人亚伯兰，那时他正居住在亚摩利人幔利的橡树那里；幔利是以实革和亚乃的兄弟，他们是亚伯兰的盟友。

雅各对约瑟说：“全能的神曾在迦南地的路斯向我显现，并祝福了我，

耶和华向以撒显现，说：“你不要继续下埃及去，要住在我指示你的地方。

司提反说：“各位父老兄弟，请听！我们的先祖亚伯拉罕住哈兰以前，还在美索不达米亚的时候，荣耀的神向他显现，

神与亚伯拉罕说完了话，就从亚伯拉罕面前上升而去。

亚伯兰九十九岁时，耶和华向亚伯兰显现，对他说：“我是全能的神，你当行在我面前，作纯全人。我要在你我之间立约，我要使你的后裔大大增多。”亚伯兰脸伏于地；神又对他说：

这些事以后，在异象中，耶和华的话语临到亚伯兰，说：“亚伯兰哪，你不要害怕！我是你的盾牌，你的赏报将极其大。”

耶和华向亚伯兰显现，说：“我必把这地赐给你的后裔。”亚伯兰就在那里为向他显现的耶和华筑了一座祭坛。
