On that very day Abraham took his son Ishmael and all those born in his household or bought with his money, every male in his household, and circumcised them, as God told him.

On that same day Abraham circumcised his son Ishmael. He also circumcised every male who was born into his family or bought with his money. He did exactly as God had told him.

Then Abraham took Ishmael his son and all those born in his house or bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that very day, as God had said to him.

On that very day Abraham took his son, Ishmael, and every male in his household, including those born there and those he had bought. Then he circumcised them, cutting off their foreskins, just as God had told him.

So Abraham took his son Ishmael and those born in his household or purchased— every male among the members of Abraham’s household— and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskin on that very day, just as God had said to him.

保羅欲攜之同往、西彼處猶太人知其父希利尼人、故令受割禮、

宗基督耶穌者、新造之人也、受割不受割、皆無益、

凡有男子、出自邑門者、聽哈抹示劍之言、悉受割禮。○

人既受割禮而見召、則勿廢割禮、未受割禮而見召、則勿受割、割與不割皆無益、惟守上帝命而已、

守爾誡命、弗遲弗緩兮、

爾遵法、則割禮有益、爾犯法、雖已割若未割然、若未割而守法誡、則雖末割、豈不謂之已割乎、其素無割禮而守法者、豈不罪爾、謂奉詔受割、而仍犯之耶、其明為猶太人者、非猶太人、其身明受割禮者、非受割、隱為猶太人、則誠猶太人、心受割禮、則誠受割、蓋在內心、不在虛文、其令聞非由人、乃由上帝、

爾中男子、咸宜受割禮、即我賜爾及爾後裔所必守之約。故爾陽之皮必受割、以徵我賜爾之約。爾歷代男子、或生於爾家、或鬻自異邦、非爾苗裔、既生八日、皆必受割。家所生者、金所鬻者、俱必受割、如是、我約必加於爾身、以為永約。但不受割者、則背我約、必絕之於民中。○

且爾竭心思、為所當為、轉瞬之間、即歸於土、在彼無工作、無計謀、無智慧。

父子二人、同日受割禮。凡其家人、或生於家、或鬻自異邦者、均受割禮。

我知彼必囑其子、及眷屬、令守我道、秉公行義、如是則我所許者、可踐其言。

今日之事、尚不及知、明日之事、勿自誇詡。

曰、其得此福也、受割禮者歟、抑未受割者歟、蓋曰、亞伯拉罕信、即其信稱為義矣、曰、然則何日得稱義耶、受割之後歟、抑受割之先歟、非後也、乃先也、亞伯拉罕受割禮之號、即未受割、信而稱義之印證、如是、則亞伯拉罕可為未受割、信而稱義者之父、亦為受割者之父、彼不徒遵割禮、乃行其父亞伯拉罕未受割時而信之跡也、

蓋宗基督耶穌者、受割不受割、皆無益、惟信主而行仁者有益、

耶和華命約書亞曰、宜作石刀、使以色列族申用割禮。約書亞作石刀、使以色列族行割禮、於斷皮之山。夫約書亞使行割禮、亦有故焉、昔出埃及諸丁男、皆為武士、行於途間、亡於曠野。凡在埃及者、已受割禮、既離埃及、生於曠野者、未受割禮、蓋以色列族、遊於曠野、歷四十年、迨出埃及之武士殞沒、昔耶和華誓以產乳與蜜之地錫於斯眾、因其違命、故再發誓、不許得見斯土。其所生之子孫、途間未受割禮、故約書亞施行是禮焉。行割已畢、民居營壘、以待其痊。耶和華諭約書亞曰、昔埃及人、凌辱爾曹、今我為汝洒恥、故名地曰吉甲、至今其名尚存。○
