On that very day Abraham took his son Ishmael and all those born in his household or bought with his money, every male in his household, and circumcised them, as God told him.

On that same day Abraham circumcised his son Ishmael. He also circumcised every male who was born into his family or bought with his money. He did exactly as God had told him.

Then Abraham took Ishmael his son and all those born in his house or bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that very day, as God had said to him.

So Abraham took his son Ishmael and those born in his household or purchased— every male among the members of Abraham’s household— and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskin on that very day, just as God had said to him.

保羅欲攜之同往、以該處之猶太人故、為之行割、蓋皆知其父為希利尼人也、

蓋受割與否皆無足重、惟新造者而已、

凡出邑門之男子、聽哈抹示劍言、悉皆受割、

人既受割而見召、則勿廢割、未受割而見召、則勿受割、割與不割、皆無足重、惟守上帝誡而已、

守爾誡命、速而弗緩兮、

爾若行律、則割禮有益、若干律、則割如未割、若然、則未割者守律之義、雖未割、不謂之為割乎、其素無割而守律者、不罪爾以文與割而干律者乎、蓋顯為猶太人者、非猶太人、顯於身之割、非割也、惟隱為猶太人者、誠猶太人、受於心之割、乃割也、在性靈不在儀文、其稱譽也、非由人、乃由上帝、

爾中男子、咸宜受割、即我賜爾及爾後裔、所必守之約、爾必受割、為我與爾立約之徵、爾歷世男子、或生於爾家、或購自異邦、非爾苗裔、既生八日、皆必受割、家所生者、金所購者、俱必受割、我約加於爾躬、以為永約、惟男子不受割者、是背我約、必絕之民中、○

爾手可為者、當盡力為之、緣爾將至之陰府、無工作、無籌畫、無知識、無智慧、○

父子二人、同日受割、凡其所屬、或生於家、或購自異邦、均受割焉、

我簡之、使命其子及眷屬、守我之道、秉公行義、致耶和華所言、悉以予之、

勿為明日自誇、以爾不知一日出何事也、

是福也、及於受割者乎、抑亦及於未受割者乎、蓋我所謂亞伯拉罕之信即以之為義也、何以為義、在割乎、抑在未割乎、非在割、乃在未割也、且亞伯拉罕受割之號、即其未受割、因信為義之印證、使為凡未割而信者之父、致彼稱義、亦為受割者之父、即不第自乎割、亦踐我父亞伯拉罕未割時而信之迹者也、

於基督耶穌中、或割或否、皆無益、惟信之以愛而行者有益、

時、耶和華諭約書亞曰、以石製刀、復為以色列人行割、約書亞遂以石製刀、為以色列人行割於阿珥拉山、其所以行此、因出埃及之眾、所有丁男戰士、出埃及後、皆死於曠野途間也、凡出埃及之民、俱已受割、惟生於曠野途間者、未之受焉、蓋以色列人遊行曠野、歷四十年、迨出埃及民之戰士皆死、以其不遵耶和華命故也、耶和華昔所誓於列祖、必錫我儕流乳與蜜之地、今則發誓、不許見之、彼之子孫、耶和華所使似續者、途間未受割、約書亞為彼行之、行割已畢、民在營中、各居其所、以待痊愈、耶和華諭約書亞曰、埃及之辱、我今使之轉離乎爾、故其地名曰吉甲、至於今日、○
