On that very day Abraham took his son Ishmael and all those born in his household or bought with his money, every male in his household, and circumcised them, as God told him.

On that same day Abraham circumcised his son Ishmael. He also circumcised every male who was born into his family or bought with his money. He did exactly as God had told him.

保羅想要帶他一起去，但為了那些地方的猶太人的緣故，就給他行了割禮，因為大家都知道他父親是希臘人。

因為受割禮或不受割禮，都算不了什麼；重要的是成為新造的人。

所有從城門口出入的人，都聽了哈抹和他兒子示劍的話；於是所有從城門口出入的男子，都受了割禮。

如果一個人蒙召的時候已經受了割禮，就不應該取消割禮的記號；如果一個人蒙召的時候沒有受割禮，就不應該受割禮。受割禮不重要，不受割禮也不重要，重要的是遵守神的命令。

我快快遵守你的誡命，不會猶豫。

你如果是遵行律法的，割禮才有益處；但你如果是違犯律法的人，你的割禮就不是割禮了。因此，那沒有受割禮的人，如果遵守律法的公義規定，他雖然沒有受割禮，難道不是算是受了割禮嗎？並且，那生來沒有受割禮卻完全實行律法的人，對你這雖有律法條文和割禮卻違犯律法的人，難道不是要施行審判嗎？其實外表上做猶太人的，並不是猶太人；外表上、肉身上的割禮，也不是割禮。然而，在內心做猶太人的才是猶太人；同樣，內心的割禮才是割禮——不是靠著律法條文而是靠著聖靈；這樣的人得到的稱讚不是從人來的，而是從神來的。

你們中所有的男子都要受割禮，這就是我與你以及你的後裔所立的約，是你們當遵守的。你們要割去肉體上的包皮，這就是我與你們立約的標記。你們世世代代所有的男子，無論是家裡出生的，還是用銀子從不屬於你後裔的外邦人那裡買來的，在八天大的時候都要受割禮。你家裡出生的和你用銀子買來的，都必須受割禮；這樣我的約就在你們肉體上成為永遠的約。至於不受割禮的男子，就是肉體上的包皮沒有被割去的，那人必從民中剪除，因他違背了我的約。」

凡是你手當做的，你都當極力去做；因為在你必去的陰間沒有工作，沒有籌劃，沒有知識，也沒有智慧。

就在那一天，亞伯拉罕和他兒子以實瑪利都受了割禮。他家裡所有的男人，無論是家裡出生的，還是用銀子從外邦人那裡買來的，都與他一起受了割禮。

因為我揀選了他，是要他吩咐他的子孫和後代家族謹守我耶和華的道路，施行公義和公正；好讓我耶和華對亞伯拉罕所說的都應驗在他身上。」

不要為明天誇耀，因為你不知道一天中會發生什麼。

既然如此，這福份到底是只賜給那些受割禮的人，還是也賜給那些沒有受割禮的人呢？我們說：「亞伯拉罕因著信，就被算為義了。」那麼，是怎麼被算為義的呢？到底是在他受割禮之後，還是在他沒有受割禮的時候呢？不是在受割禮之後，而是在沒有受割禮的時候。並且他領受了割禮的標記，做為他沒有受割禮時因信稱義的印證，使他成為所有不憑著割禮而信之人的父，也使他們被算為義；而且他也成為受割禮之人的父，不僅為那些受了割禮的人，還為那些順著我們的先祖亞伯拉罕信心之腳蹤行走的人；亞伯拉罕的信心在他沒有受割禮的時候就已經有了。

因為在基督耶穌裡，受割禮或不受割禮都沒有用處，只有藉著愛行出來的信仰才有用處。
