On that very day Abraham took his son Ishmael and all those born in his household or bought with his money, every male in his household, and circumcised them, as God told him.

On that same day Abraham circumcised his son Ishmael. He also circumcised every male who was born into his family or bought with his money. He did exactly as God had told him.

保罗想要带他一起去，但为了那些地方的犹太人的缘故，就给他行了割礼，因为大家都知道他父亲是希腊人。

因为受割礼或不受割礼，都算不了什么；重要的是成为新造的人。

所有从城门口出入的人，都听了哈抹和他儿子示剑的话；于是所有从城门口出入的男子，都受了割礼。

如果一个人蒙召的时候已经受了割礼，就不应该取消割礼的记号；如果一个人蒙召的时候没有受割礼，就不应该受割礼。受割礼不重要，不受割礼也不重要，重要的是遵守神的命令。

我快快遵守你的诫命，不会犹豫。

你如果是遵行律法的，割礼才有益处；但你如果是违犯律法的人，你的割礼就不是割礼了。因此，那没有受割礼的人，如果遵守律法的公义规定，他虽然没有受割礼，难道不是算是受了割礼吗？并且，那生来没有受割礼却完全实行律法的人，对你这虽有律法条文和割礼却违犯律法的人，难道不是要施行审判吗？其实外表上做犹太人的，并不是犹太人；外表上、肉身上的割礼，也不是割礼。然而，在内心做犹太人的才是犹太人；同样，内心的割礼才是割礼——不是靠着律法条文而是靠着圣灵；这样的人得到的称赞不是从人来的，而是从神来的。

你们中所有的男子都要受割礼，这就是我与你以及你的后裔所立的约，是你们当遵守的。你们要割去肉体上的包皮，这就是我与你们立约的标记。你们世世代代所有的男子，无论是家里出生的，还是用银子从不属于你后裔的外邦人那里买来的，在八天大的时候都要受割礼。你家里出生的和你用银子买来的，都必须受割礼；这样我的约就在你们肉体上成为永远的约。至于不受割礼的男子，就是肉体上的包皮没有被割去的，那人必从民中剪除，因他违背了我的约。”

凡是你手当做的，你都当极力去做；因为在你必去的阴间没有工作，没有筹划，没有知识，也没有智慧。

就在那一天，亚伯拉罕和他儿子以实玛利都受了割礼。他家里所有的男人，无论是家里出生的，还是用银子从外邦人那里买来的，都与他一起受了割礼。

因为我拣选了他，是要他吩咐他的子孙和后代家族谨守我耶和华的道路，施行公义和公正；好让我耶和华对亚伯拉罕所说的都应验在他身上。”

不要为明天夸耀，因为你不知道一天中会发生什么。

既然如此，这福份到底是只赐给那些受割礼的人，还是也赐给那些没有受割礼的人呢？我们说：“亚伯拉罕因着信，就被算为义了。”那么，是怎么被算为义的呢？到底是在他受割礼之后，还是在他没有受割礼的时候呢？不是在受割礼之后，而是在没有受割礼的时候。并且他领受了割礼的标记，做为他没有受割礼时因信称义的印证，使他成为所有不凭着割礼而信之人的父，也使他们被算为义；而且他也成为受割礼之人的父，不仅为那些受了割礼的人，还为那些顺着我们的先祖亚伯拉罕信心之脚踪行走的人；亚伯拉罕的信心在他没有受割礼的时候就已经有了。

因为在基督耶稣里，受割礼或不受割礼都没有用处，只有藉着爱行出来的信仰才有用处。
