He said,“ I will certainly return to you at about this time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son.” Sarah heard in the tent door, which was behind him.

Yahweh appeared to him, and said,“ Don’t go down into Egypt. Live in the land I will tell you about.Live in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you. For I will give to you, and to your offspring, all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.I will multiply your offspring as the stars of the sky, and will give all these lands to your offspring. In your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed,because Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my requirements, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.”

Sarah conceived, and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.Abraham called his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.

If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring and heirs according to promise.

By faith, he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a land not his own, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.

For this is a word of promise,“ At the appointed time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.”

God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

He said to them,“ It isn’t for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set within his own authority.

Therefore she said to Abraham,“ Cast out this servant and her son! For the son of this servant will not be heir with my son, Isaac.”The thing was very grievous in Abraham’s sight on account of his son.God said to Abraham,“ Don’t let it be grievous in your sight because of the boy, and because of your servant. In all that Sarah says to you, listen to her voice. For your offspring will be named through Isaac.
