明年屆此期、撒拉必生子以撒、我將與之立約。

惟我之約、我必立與以撒、即明年屆此期、撒拉將生者也、或作明年屆此期撒拉必生子以撒我將與之立我約

But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you by this time next year.”

And He said,“ I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.”( Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.)

Then the Lord appeared to him and said:“ Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you.Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.”

For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him— whom Sarah bore to him— Isaac.

And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;

As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and to his seed forever.”

“ Oh, that You would hide me in the grave, That You would conceal me until Your wrath is past, That You would appoint me a set time, and remember me!

So Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.

Moreover He said,“ I am the God of your father— the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.

And he blessed Joseph, and said:“ God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has fed me all my life long to this day,

of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel,

For this is the word of promise:“ At this time I will come and Sarah shall have a son.”

So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

To perform the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant,

And He said to them,“ It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

Therefore she said to Abraham,“ Cast out this bondwoman and her son; for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, namely with Isaac.”And the matter was very displeasing in Abraham’s sight because of his son.But God said to Abraham,“ Do not let it be displeasing in your sight because of the lad or because of your bondwoman. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac your seed shall be called.
