我將錫嘏、賜之生子、為群民母、列王由之出。

我必賜之以福、使之從爾生子、我必賜之以福、使為列族之母、列邦之王必由彼出、

I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.”

上帝又说：“我是全能的上帝，你要生养众多，一国，甚至多国必从你而出，许多君王必出自你的子孙。

我要使你的子孙极其兴旺，许多民族和君王必从你而出。

我必使你成为大国，我必赐福给你，使你声名远播。你必成为别人的祝福。

其中一人说：“明年这时候，我会再来你这里，撒拉必生一个儿子。”这话被站在那人后面帐篷口的撒拉听见了。亚伯拉罕和撒拉已经年纪老迈，撒拉的月经也已经停了。撒拉暗自发笑，心想：“我已经这么老了，还会有这种福气吗？况且我的丈夫也很老了。”耶和华问亚伯拉罕：“撒拉为什么偷笑说，‘我这把年纪还会有孩子吗？’什么事难得住耶和华呢？明年这时候，我会再来你这里，撒拉必生一个儿子。”

因为上帝曾这样应许他：“明年这时候，我会再来，撒拉必生一个儿子。”

正如撒拉顺服亚伯拉罕，称他为主人。所以，如果你们做对的事，不怕恐吓，就是撒拉的女儿。

那天上的耶路撒冷则是自由的，是我们的母亲。因为圣经上说：“不生育、未生养的妇人啊，要快乐；未曾生产的女子啊，要高声欢呼，因为没有丈夫的比有丈夫的儿女更多。”弟兄姊妹，你们都像以撒一样是照着上帝的应许出生的。当时，那按着人的意愿生的儿子迫害那靠着圣灵生的儿子，现在的情况也和当时一样。但圣经上怎么说呢？圣经上说：“赶走婢女和她的儿子，因为婢女的儿子不能与主母的儿子一同承受产业。”弟兄姊妹，这样看来，我们不是婢女的儿女，而是主母的儿女。

上帝赐福给他们，对他们说：“你们要生养众多，遍布地面，治理大地，管理海里的鱼、空中的鸟以及地上的各种动物。”

并为利百加祝福，说：“我们的妹妹啊，愿你成为千万人之母！愿你的后代战胜仇敌！”

列王必做你的养父，王后必做你的褓姆。他们必向你俯伏下拜，舔你脚上的尘土。那时你便知道我是耶和华，信靠我的必不致失望。”
