Yahweh appeared to Abram and said,“ I will give this land to your offspring.” He built an altar there to Yahweh, who had appeared to him.

for I will give all the land which you see to you and to your offspring forever.

found his heart faithful before you, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite, to give it to his offspring, and have performed your words; for you are righteous.

I have given you every place that the sole of your foot will tread on, as I told Moses.From the wilderness and this Lebanon even to the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border.

I will multiply your offspring as the stars of the sky, and will give all these lands to your offspring. In your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed,

Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even to the western sea shall be your border.

Yahweh, the God of heaven— who took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my birth, who spoke to me, and who swore to me, saying,‘ I will give this land to your offspring— he will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.

Yahweh said to him,“ This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying,‘ I will give it to your offspring.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”

I will send my terror before you, and will confuse all the people to whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.I will send the hornet before you, which will drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before you.I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate, and the animals of the field multiply against you.Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and inherit the land.I will set your border from the Red Sea even to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.

“ Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh,“ that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which covenant of mine they broke, although I was a husband to them,” says Yahweh.“ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says Yahweh:“ I will put my law in their inward parts, and I will write it in their heart. I will be their God, and they shall be my people.They will no longer each teach his neighbor, and every man teach his brother, saying,‘ Know Yahweh;’ for they will all know me, from their least to their greatest,” says Yahweh:“ for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

The border shall turn about from Azmon to the brook of Egypt, and it shall end at the sea.

Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus,

Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt. They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.

Turn, and take your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites and to all the places near there: in the Arabah, in the hill country, in the lowland, in the South, by the seashore, in the land of the Canaanites, and in Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.Behold, I have set the land before you. Go in and possess the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers— to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob— to give to them and to their offspring after them.’”

He ruled over all the kings from the River even to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.

For my angel shall go before you, and bring you in to the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I will cut them off.

Isn’t my house so with God? Yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure, for it is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he doesn’t make it grow.

Behold, Yahweh stood above it, and said,“ I am Yahweh, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac. I will give the land you lie on to you and to your offspring.Your offspring will be as the dust of the earth, and you will spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south. In you and in your offspring, all the families of the earth will be blessed.

When Abram was ninety- nine years old, Yahweh appeared to Abram and said to him,“ I am God Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless.I will make my covenant between me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”Abram fell on his face. God talked with him, saying,“ As for me, behold, my covenant is with you. You will be the father of a multitude of nations.Your name will no more be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham; for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you. Kings will come out of you.I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your offspring after you.I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.”God said to Abraham,“ As for you, you will keep my covenant, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations.This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you. Every male among you shall be circumcised.You shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin. It will be a token of the covenant between me and you.He who is eight days old will be circumcised among you, every male throughout your generations, he who is born in the house, or bought with money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring.He who is born in your house, and he who is bought with your money, must be circumcised. My covenant will be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.The uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that soul shall be cut off from his people. He has broken my covenant.”God said to Abraham,“ As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but her name will be Sarah.I will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her. Yes, I will bless her, and she will be a mother of nations. Kings of peoples will come from her.”Then Abraham fell on his face, and laughed, and said in his heart,“ Will a child be born to him who is one hundred years old? Will Sarah, who is ninety years old, give birth?”Abraham said to God,“ Oh that Ishmael might live before you!”God said,“ No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.As for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He will become the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this set time next year.”When he finished talking with him, God went up from Abraham.Abraham took Ishmael his son, all who were born in his house, and all who were bought with his money: every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the same day, as God had said to him.Abraham was ninety- nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.Ishmael, his son, was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.In the same day both Abraham and Ishmael, his son, were circumcised.All the men of his house, those born in the house, and those bought with money from a foreigner, were circumcised with him.

I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good. I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.

Turn your ear, and come to me. Hear, and your soul will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

It will happen in that day that Yahweh will thresh from the flowing stream of the Euphrates to the brook of Egypt; and you will be gathered one by one, children of Israel.

saying,“ To you I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance,”

“ Yahweh says:‘ If you can break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that there will not be day and night in their time;then may my covenant also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.As the army of the sky can’t be counted, and the sand of the sea can’t be measured; so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant and the Levites who minister to me.’”Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,“ Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying,‘ Has Yahweh cast off the two families which he chose?’ Thus they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.”Yahweh says:“ If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;then I will also cast away the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his offspring to be rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to be reversed and will have mercy on them.”

The second lot came out for Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families. Their inheritance was in the middle of the inheritance of the children of Judah.They had for their inheritance Beersheba( or Sheba), Moladah,Hazar Shual, Balah, Ezem,Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,Ziklag, Beth Marcaboth, Hazar Susah,Beth Lebaoth, and Sharuhen; thirteen cities with their villages;Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan; four cities with their villages;and all the villages that were around these cities to Baalath Beer, Ramah of the South. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.Out of the part of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon; for the portion of the children of Judah was too much for them. Therefore the children of Simeon had inheritance in the middle of their inheritance.The third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families. The border of their inheritance was to Sarid.Their border went up westward, even to Maralah, and reached to Dabbesheth. It reached to the brook that is before Jokneam.It turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrise to the border of Chisloth Tabor. It went out to Daberath, and went up to Japhia.From there it passed along eastward to Gath Hepher, to Ethkazin; and it went out at Rimmon which stretches to Neah.The border turned around it on the north to Hannathon; and it ended at the valley of Iphtah El;Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.The fourth lot came out for Issachar, even for the children of Issachar according to their families.Their border was to Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,Remeth, Engannim, En Haddah, and Beth Pazzez.The border reached to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth Shemesh. Their border ended at the Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages.This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities with their villages.The fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.Their border was Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph,Allammelech, Amad, Mishal. It reached to Carmel westward, and to Shihorlibnath.It turned toward the sunrise to Beth Dagon, and reached to Zebulun, and to the valley of Iphtah El northward to Beth Emek and Neiel. It went out to Cabul on the left hand,and Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, even to great Sidon.The border turned to Ramah, to the fortified city of Tyre; and the border turned to Hosah. It ended at the sea by the region of Achzib;Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty- two cities with their villages.This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.The sixth lot came out for the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.Their border was from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim, Adami- nekeb, and Jabneel, to Lakkum. It ended at the Jordan.The border turned westward to Aznoth Tabor, and went out from there to Hukkok. It reached to Zebulun on the south, and reached to Asher on the west, and to Judah at the Jordan toward the sunrise.The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth,Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,Kedesh, Edrei, En Hazor,Iron, Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath, and Beth Shemesh; nineteen cities with their villages.

Joseph said to his brothers,“ I am dying, but God will surely visit you, and bring you up out of this land to the land which he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”

I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens.

and give you the blessing of Abraham, to you and to your offspring with you, that you may inherit the land where you travel, which God gave to Abraham.”

Observe that which I command you today. Behold, I will drive out before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

and he lived eastward even to the entrance of the wilderness from the river Euphrates, because their livestock were multiplied in the land of Gilead.

I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

Brothers, speaking of human terms, though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been confirmed, no one makes it void or adds to it.Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn’t say,“ To descendants”, as of many, but as of one,“ To your offspring”, which is Christ.Now I say this: A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.

and it passed along to Azmon, went out at the brook of Egypt; and the border ended at the sea. This shall be your south border.

The name of the third river is Hiddekel. This is the one which flows in front of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.

God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,“ As for me, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you,and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every animal of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ship, even every animal of the earth.I will establish my covenant with you: All flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood. There will never again be a flood to destroy the earth.”God said,“ This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.When I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud,I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.The rainbow will be in the cloud. I will look at it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”God said to Noah,“ This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.”

When Yahweh your God brings you into the land where you go to possess it, and casts out many nations before you— the Hittite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite— seven nations greater and mightier than you;

Now these are the kings of the land, whom the children of Israel struck, and possessed their land beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon, and all the Arabah eastward:Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the middle of the valley, and half Gilead, even to the river Jabbok, the border of the children of Ammon;and the Arabah to the sea of Chinneroth, eastward, and to the sea of the Arabah, even the Salt Sea, eastward, the way to Beth Jeshimoth; and on the south, under the slopes of Pisgah:and the border of Og king of Bashan, of the remnant of the Rephaim, who lived at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,and ruled in Mount Hermon, and in Salecah, and in all Bashan, to the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.Moses the servant of Yahweh and the children of Israel struck them. Moses the servant of Yahweh gave it for a possession to the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half- tribe of Manasseh.These are the kings of the land whom Joshua and the children of Israel struck beyond the Jordan westward, from Baal Gad in the valley of Lebanon even to Mount Halak, that goes up to Seir. Joshua gave it to the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;in the hill country, and in the lowland, and in the Arabah, and in the slopes, and in the wilderness, and in the South; the Hittite, the Amorite, and the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:the king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one;the king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;the king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;the king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;the king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;the king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one;the king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one;the king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one;the king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one;the king of Aphek, one; the king of Lassharon, one;the king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one;the king of Shimron Meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;

“ Command the children of Israel, and tell them,‘ When you come into the land of Canaan( this is the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to its borders),then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the side of Edom, and your south border shall be from the end of the Salt Sea eastward.

David struck also Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his dominion at the River.

The land which I gave to Abraham and Isaac, I will give it to you, and to your offspring after you I will give the land.”
