After these things the word of Jehovah came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:“ Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”

Some time later, Abram had a vision. The Lord said to him,“ Abram, do not be afraid. I am like a shield to you. I am your very great reward.”

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:“ Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”

Thou art my hiding- place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

For Jehovah God is a sun and a shield: Jehovah will give grace and glory; No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

And Jehovah appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake.

Jehovah is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear: What shall man do unto me?

Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith Jehovah, and thy Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

There is none like unto God, O Jeshurun, Who rideth upon the heavens for thy help, And in his excellency on the skies.The eternal God is thy dwelling- place, And underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy from before thee, And said, Destroy.And Israel dwelleth in safety, The fountain of Jacob alone, In a land of grain and new wine; Yea, his heavens drop down dew.Happy art thou, O Israel: Who is like unto thee, a people saved by Jehovah, The shield of thy help, And the sword of thy excellency! And thine enemies shall submit themselves unto thee; And thou shalt tread upon their high places.

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.

But thou, O Jehovah, art a shield about me; My glory, and the lifter up of my head.

Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be affrighted at them: for Jehovah thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Jehovah recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of Jehovah, the God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to take refuge.

and also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.But thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.And in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet full.

But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: because thy supplication is heard, and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

Jehovah is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

For thou wilt bless the righteous; O Jehovah, thou wilt compass him with favor as with a shield.

Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: Thou maintainest my lot.The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; Yea, I have a goodly heritage.

And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

I cried unto thee, O Jehovah; I said, Thou art my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.

So that men shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: Verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.

In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, even a great warfare: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three whole weeks.I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine into my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel,I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, a man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with pure gold of Uphaz:his body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as flaming torches, and his arms and his feet like unto burnished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision; for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, and they fled to hide themselves.So I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me; for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.Yet heard I the voice of his words; and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I fallen into a deep sleep on my face, with my face toward the ground.And, behold, a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.And he said unto me, O Daniel, thou man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright; for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that thou didst set thy heart to understand, and to humble thyself before thy God, thy words were heard: and I am come for thy words’ sake.But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me: and I remained there with the kings of Persia.Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days; for the vision is yet for many days.And when he had spoken unto me according to these words, I set my face toward the ground, and was dumb.And, behold, one in the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by reason of the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I retain no strength.

But now thus saith Jehovah that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine.

And the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me in the vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

Every word of God is tried: He is a shield unto them that take refuge in him.

God, having of old time spoken unto the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners,

( Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, thus he said, Come, and let us go to the seer; for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)

And he said, Hear now my words: if there be a prophet among you, I Jehovah will make myself known unto him in a vision, I will speak with him in a dream.

And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed; for Jehovah God, even my God, is with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until all the work for the service of the house of Jehovah be finished.

And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God:and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first things are passed away.

And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as one dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying, Fear not; I am the first and the last,

whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

The wicked earneth deceitful wages; But he that soweth righteousness hath a sure reward.

Fear not; for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou art afraid of man that shall die, and of the son of man that shall be made as grass;

and he became hungry, and desired to eat: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance;and he beholdeth the heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending, as it were a great sheet, let down by four corners upon the earth:wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts and creeping things of the earth and birds of the heaven.And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill and eat.But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common and unclean.And a voice came unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, make not thou common.And this was done thrice: and straightway the vessel was received up into heaven.Now while Peter was much perplexed in himself what the vision which he had seen might mean, behold, the men that were sent by Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon’s house, stood before the gate,

Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father:but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Behold, O God our shield, And look upon the face of thine anointed.

He will cover thee with his pinions, And under his wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler.

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of Jehovah, which he will work for you to- day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to- day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; he will come and save you.

Thus saith Jehovah that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, who will help thee: Fear not, O Jacob my servant; and thou, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

And they said, Cornelius a centurion, a righteous man and one that feareth God, and well reported of by all the nation of the Jews, was warned of God by a holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words from thee.

Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have I not declared unto thee of old, and showed it? and ye are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? yea, there is no Rock; I know not any.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye; for I know that ye seek Jesus, who hath been crucified.
