亞伯蘭謂所多瑪王曰、我指天地之主宰、至高天主耶和華而誓、

But Abram said to the king of Sodom,“ With raised hand I have sworn an oath to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,

But Abram said to the king of Sodom,“ I have raised my hand to make a promise to the Lord. He is the Most High God. He is the Creator of heaven and earth.

But Abram said to the king of Sodom,“ I have lifted my hand to the Lord, God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth,

Abram replied to the king of Sodom,“ I solemnly swear to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,

But Abram said to the king of Sodom,“ I have raised my hand in an oath to the LORD, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,

But Abram said to the king of Sodom,“ I have sworn to the Lord God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth,

But Abram said to the king of Sodom,“ I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth,

And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand unto Jehovah, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,

But Abram said to the king of Sodom,“ I have raised my hand in an oath to Yahweh, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,

And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

Abram said to the king of Sodom,“ I have lifted up my hand to Yahweh, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,

I will bring you to the land I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob– and I will give it to you as a possession. I am the LORD!’”

Then I heard the man clothed in linen who was over the waters of the river as he raised both his right and left hands to the sky and made an oath by the one who lives forever:“ It is for a time, times, and half a time. Then, when the power of the one who shatters the holy people has been exhausted, all these things will be finished.”

Then the angel I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heavenand swore by the one who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, and the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it,“ There will be no more delay!

The LORD owns the earth and all it contains, the world and all who live in it.

Then they will know that you alone are the LORD, the sovereign king over all the earth.

For I raise up my hand to heaven, and say,‘ As surely as I live forever,

Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beer Sheba. There he worshiped the LORD, the eternal God.

But at the end of the appointed time I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven, and my sanity returned to me. I extolled the Most High, and I praised and glorified the one who lives forever. For his authority is an everlasting authority, and his kingdom extends from one generation to the next.

‘ The silver and gold will be mine,’ says the LORD who rules over all.

When he saw her, he ripped his clothes and said,“ Oh no! My daughter! You have completely ruined me! You have brought me disaster! I made an oath to the LORD, and I cannot break it.”

Now swear to me right here in God’s name that you will not deceive me, my children, or my descendants. Show me, and the land where you are staying, the same loyalty that I have shown you.”Abraham said,“ I swear to do this.”But Abraham lodged a complaint against Abimelech concerning a well that Abimelech’s servants had seized.“ I do not know who has done this thing,” Abimelech replied.“ Moreover, you did not tell me. I did not hear about it until today.”Abraham took some sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelech. The two of them made a treaty.Then Abraham set seven ewe lambs apart from the flock by themselves.Abimelech asked Abraham,“ What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs that you have set apart?”He replied,“ You must take these seven ewe lambs from my hand as legal proof that I dug this well.”That is why he named that place Beer Sheba, because the two of them swore an oath there.

When Abram was 99 years old, the LORD appeared to him and said,“ I am the sovereign God. Walk before me and be blameless.

For this is what the high and exalted one says, the one who rules forever, whose name is holy:“ I dwell in an exalted and holy place, but also with the discouraged and humiliated, in order to cheer up the humiliated and to encourage the discouraged.

He blessed Abram, saying,“ Blessed be Abram by the Most High God, Creator of heaven and earth.Worthy of praise is the Most High God, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything.
