But Melchizedek, who was not a descendant of Levi, collected a tenth from Abraham. And Melchizedek placed a blessing upon Abraham, the one who had already received the promises of God.And without question, the person who has the power to give a blessing is greater than the one who is blessed.

Abram replied to the king of Sodom,“ I solemnly swear to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

he sent them this message:“ May the Lord bless you for being so loyal to your master Saul and giving him a decent burial.

With his right hand he directed Ephraim toward Jacob’s left hand, and with his left hand he put Manasseh at Jacob’s right hand.But Jacob crossed his arms as he reached out to lay his hands on the boys’ heads. He put his right hand on the head of Ephraim, though he was the younger boy, and his left hand on the head of Manasseh, though he was the firstborn.Then he blessed Joseph and said,“ May the God before whom my grandfather Abraham and my father, Isaac, walked— the God who has been my shepherd all my life, to this very day,the Angel who has redeemed me from all harm— may he bless these boys. May they preserve my name and the names of Abraham and Isaac. And may their descendants multiply greatly throughout the earth.”

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.

At that same time Jesus was filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit, and he said,“ O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way.

She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting,“ These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.”

The heavens belong to the Lord, but he has given the earth to all humanity.

What can we bring to the Lord? Should we bring him burnt offerings? Should we bow before God Most High with offerings of yearling calves?

Then Jacob blessed Pharaoh again before leaving his court.

Then Joseph brought in his father, Jacob, and presented him to Pharaoh. And Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
