Then Abram said to Lot,“ Let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen, for we are kinsmen.

亞伯蘭就對羅得說：「但願你我之間，你的牧人和我的牧人之間不要有爭吵，因為我們是一家人。

亞伯蘭謂羅得曰、爾我乃骨肉之親、不可相爭、爾牧我牧、何競之有、

亞伯蘭謂羅得曰、爾與我原為骨肉不可相爭、爾牧與我牧亦不可相爭、

So Abram said to Lot,“ Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herders and mine, for we are close relatives.

So Abram said to Lot,“ Let’s not argue with each other. The people taking care of your herds and those taking care of mine shouldn’t argue with one another either. After all, we’re part of the same family.

Finally Abram said to Lot,“ Let’s not allow this conflict to come between us or our herdsmen. After all, we are close relatives!

So Abram said to Lot,“ Please, let’s not have quarreling between you and me, or between your herdsmen and my herdsmen, since we are relatives.

So Abram said to Lot,“ Please let there be no strife between you and me, nor between my herdsmen and your herdsmen, for we are relatives!

So Abram said to Lot,“ Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren.

And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdsmen and thy herdsmen; for we are brethren.

Then Abram said to Lot,“ Please, let’s not have quarreling between you and me, or between your herdsmen and my herdsmen, since we are relatives.

And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we[ be] brethren.

Abram said to Lot,“ Let there be no quarreling between me and you, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen, for we are close relatives.

Abram said to Lot,“ Please, let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen; for we are relatives.

but brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?To have lawsuits at all with one another is already a defeat for you. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded?

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!

And on the following day he appeared to them as they were quarreling and tried to reconcile them, saying,‘ Men, you are brothers. Why do you wrong each other?’

Now these are the generations of Terah. Terah fathered Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran fathered Lot.Haran died in the presence of his father Terah in the land of his kindred, in Ur of the Chaldeans.And Abram and Nahor took wives. The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran the father of Milcah and Iscah.Now Sarai was barren; she had no child.Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.

We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death.Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him;

and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.

Do all things without grumbling or disputing,

Then he sent his brothers away, and as they departed, he said to them,“ Do not quarrel on the way.”

Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness.Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger quiets contention.

Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

When he went out the next day, behold, two Hebrews were struggling together. And he said to the man in the wrong,“ Why do you strike your companion?”

Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another,

Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.

It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart,

Let brotherly love continue.

“ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.
