昔我儕亦無知、背逆、迷惑、役於嗜慾及諸淫佚、常行暴很媢嫉之事、且為人所惡、而彼此相惡、

昔亞比米勒之僕、強據亞伯拉罕之井、今亞伯拉罕因此事指摘亞比米勒、

爾當以智慧待彼教會外之人、愛惜光陰、

蓋嫉妒紛爭所在、必有亂行及諸惡事、

爾中戰鬥爭競、何自而來、非自戰於爾百體中之慾乎、

雅各謂西緬利未曰、爾曹累我、致我遺臭於居此地之迦南族、比利洗族、且我儕人寡、彼將聚而攻我、則我與全家必致剪滅、

蓋爾尚為屬肉者、爾中有娼嫉、爭鬥、釁隙、豈爾非屬肉、循人意而行乎、
