以色列說：「你去看看你哥哥們以及羊群是否平安，然後回來告訴我。」於是，約瑟就從希伯崙谷出發去示劍。

他們經南地到達希伯崙。希伯崙城比埃及的鎖安城還要早建七年，那裡住著亞衲人的子孫亞希幔、示篩和撻買。

我常以耶和華為念，祂在我右邊，我必不動搖。

在迦南境內的基列·亞巴，即希伯崙去世。亞伯拉罕在那裡痛哭，哀悼她。

我願男人舉起聖潔的手隨處禱告，不發怒，不爭辯。

於是，約書亞便祝福耶孚尼的兒子迦勒，把希伯崙給他，作為他的產業。
