I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted.

I will make them like the dust of the earth. Can dust be counted? If it can, then your family can be counted.

I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if one can count the dust of the earth, your offspring also can be counted.

And I will give you so many descendants that, like the dust of the earth, they cannot be counted!

that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.

And she went to inquire of Jehovah.And Jehovah said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, And two peoples shall be separated from thy bowels: And the one people shall be stronger than the other people; And the elder shall serve the younger.And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.And the first came forth red, all over like a hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.And after that came forth his brother, and his hand had hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.And the boys grew: and Esau was a skilful hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a quiet man, dwelling in tents.Now Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: and Rebekah loved Jacob.And Jacob boiled pottage: and Esau came in from the field, and he was faint:and Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.And Jacob said, Sell me first thy birthright.And Esau said, Behold, I am about to die: and what profit shall the birthright do to me?And Jacob said, Swear to me first; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.And Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: so Esau despised his birthright.

seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

Judah and Israel were many as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.

After these things I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands;

Jehovah your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.

And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:

And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a company of peoples;

And this was the numbering of them according to their fathers’ houses: Of Judah, the captains of thousands: Adnah the captain, and with him mighty men of valor three hundred thousand;and next to him Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred and fourscore thousand;and next to him Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto Jehovah; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valor.And of Benjamin: Eliada a mighty man of valor, and with him two hundred thousand armed with bow and shield;and next to him Jehozabad, and with him a hundred and fourscore thousand ready prepared for war.

wherefore also there sprang of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of heaven in multitude, and as the sand, which is by the sea- shore, innumerable.

and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and be thou a blessing:and I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse: and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

For they came up with their cattle and their tents; they came in as locusts for multitude; both they and their camels were without number: and they came into the land to destroy it.

And also of the son of the handmaid will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under, because Jehovah had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of heaven.

and I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these lands; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;

This is Esau, the father of the Edomites.

And Joab gave up the sum of the numbering of the people unto David. And all they of Israel were a thousand thousand and a hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah was four hundred threescore and ten thousand men that drew sword.

As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

And I will bless her, and moreover I will give thee a son of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be of her.

Oh that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the grains thereof: his name would not be cut off nor destroyed from before me.

And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east; they came up against them;

For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace; to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all( as it is written, A father of many nations have I made thee) before him whom he believed, even God, who giveth life to the dead, and calleth the things that are not, as though they were.Who in hope believed against hope, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, So shall thy seed be.

And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.

And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
