The LORD appeared to Abram and said,“ To your descendants I will give this land.” So Abram built an altar there to the LORD, who had appeared to him.

Our God, you drove out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and gave it as a permanent possession to the descendants of your friend Abraham.

The LORD said to Moses,“ Go up from here, you and the people whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land I promised on oath to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying,‘ I will give it to your descendants.’

you must take the first of all the ground’s produce you harvest from the land the LORD your God is giving you, place it in a basket, and go to the place where he chooses to locate his name.You must go to the priest in office at that time and say to him,“ I declare today to the LORD your God that I have come into the land that the LORD promised to our ancestors to give us.”The priest will then take the basket from you and set it before the altar of the LORD your God.

He did not give any of it to him for an inheritance, not even a foot of ground, yet God promised to give it to him as his possession, and to his descendants after him, even though Abraham as yet had no child.

the promise he made to Abraham, the promise he made by oath to Isaac!He gave it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as a lasting promise,saying,“ To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion of your inheritance.”When they were few in number, just a very few, and resident aliens within it,

You have fulfilled your promise, for you are righteous.

Then the border will continue down the Jordan River and its direction will be to the Salt Sea. This will be your land by its borders that surround it.’”Then Moses commanded the Israelites:“ This is the land which you will inherit by lot, which the LORD has commanded to be given to the nine and a half tribes,because the tribe of the Reubenites by their families, the tribe of the Gadites by their families, and half of the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance.The two and a half tribes have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan, east of Jericho, toward the sunrise.”The LORD said to Moses:“ These are the names of the men who are to allocate the land to you as an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.You must take one leader from every tribe to assist in allocating the land as an inheritance.These are the names of the men: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;from the tribe of the Simeonites, Shemuel son of Ammihud;from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Kislon;and from the tribe of the Danites, a leader, Bukki son of Jogli.From the Josephites, Hanniel son of Ephod, a leader from the tribe of Manasseh;from the tribe of the Ephraimites, a leader, Kemuel son of Shiphtan;from the tribe of the Zebulunites, a leader, Elizaphan son of Parnach;from the tribe of the Issacharites, a leader, Paltiel son of Azzan;from the tribe of the Asherites, a leader, Ahihud son of Shelomi;and from the tribe of the Naphtalites, a leader, Pedahel son of Ammihud.”These are the ones whom the LORD commanded to divide up the inheritance among the Israelites in the land of Canaan.

Stay in this land. Then I will be with you and will bless you, for I will give all these lands to you and to your descendants, and I will fulfill the solemn promise I made to your father Abraham.I will multiply your descendants so they will be as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give them all these lands. All the nations of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using the name of your descendants.

and the LORD stood at its top. He said,“ I am the LORD, the God of your grandfather Abraham and the God of your father Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the ground you are lying on.

The land I gave to Abraham and Isaac I will give to you. To your descendants I will also give this land.”

He said to me,‘ I am going to make you fruitful and will multiply you. I will make you into a group of nations, and I will give this land to your descendants as an everlasting possession.’

I will confirm my covenant as a perpetual covenant between me and you. It will extend to your descendants after you throughout their generations. I will be your God and the God of your descendants after you.I will give the whole land of Canaan– the land where you are now residing– to you and your descendants after you as a permanent possession. I will be their God.”

Then the LORD said to him,“ This is the land I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said,‘ I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it, but you will not cross over there.”

May he give you and your descendants the blessing he gave to Abraham so that you may possess the land God gave to Abraham, the land where you have been living as a temporary resident.”

“ Give these instructions to the Israelites, and tell them:‘ When you enter Canaan, the land that has been assigned to you as an inheritance, the land of Canaan with its borders,

That day the LORD made a covenant with Abram:“ To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates River–

“ The LORD, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and the land of my relatives, promised me with a solemn oath,‘ To your descendants I will give this land.’ He will send his angel before you so that you may find a wife for my son from there.

The godly will possess the land and will dwell in it permanently.

Surely those favored by the LORD will possess the land, but those rejected by him will be wiped out.

For a short time your special nation possessed a land, but then our adversaries knocked down your holy sanctuary.

Praise the LORD! How blessed is the one who obeys the LORD, who takes great delight in keeping his commands.His descendants will be powerful on the earth; the godly will be blessed.

“ Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

After all, Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all the nations on the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using his name.
