Now the people of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the Lord.

The people of Sodom were evil. They were sinning greatly against the Lord.

Now the men of Sodom were wicked, great sinners against the Lord.

But the people of this area were extremely wicked and constantly sinned against the Lord.

Yahweh said,“ Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous,

But you go and learn what this means:‘ I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, having made them an example to those who would live in an ungodly way;and delivered righteous Lot, who was very distressed by the lustful life of the wicked( for that righteous man dwelling among them was tormented in his righteous soul from day to day with seeing and hearing lawless deeds):

Even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, having in the same way as these given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are shown as an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.

Can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I can’t see him?” says Yahweh.“ Don’t I fill heaven and earth?” says Yahweh.

For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen; because their tongue and their doings are against Yahweh, to provoke the eyes of his glory.The look of their faces testify against them. They parade their sin like Sodom. They don’t hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought disaster upon themselves.

Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error.

Your elder sister is Samaria, who dwells at your left hand, she and her daughters; and your younger sister, who dwells at your right hand, is Sodom with her daughters.Yet you have not walked in their ways, nor done their abominations; but soon you were more corrupt than they in all your ways.As I live,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ Sodom your sister has not done, she nor her daughters, as you have done, you and your daughters.“‘“ Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread, and prosperous ease was in her and in her daughters. She also didn’t strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.They were arrogant, and committed abomination before me. Therefore I took them away when I saw it.

There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.

But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every quarter.They called to Lot, and said to him,“ Where are the men who came in to you this night? Bring them out to us, that we may have sex with them.”Lot went out to them through the door, and shut the door after himself.He said,“ Please, my brothers, don’t act so wickedly.See now, I have two virgin daughters. Please let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them what seems good to you. Only don’t do anything to these men, because they have come under the shadow of my roof.”They said,“ Stand back!” Then they said,“ This one fellow came in to live as a foreigner, and he appoints himself a judge. Now we will deal worse with you than with them!” They pressed hard on the man Lot, and came near to break the door.But the men reached out their hand, and brought Lot into the house to them, and shut the door.They struck the men who were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh. Therefore it is said,“ like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before Yahweh”.

You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, you will go down to Hades. For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in you, it would have remained until today.But I tell you that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom, on the day of judgment, than for you.”

Unless Yahweh of Armies had left to us a very small remnant, we would have been as Sodom. We would have been like Gomorrah.

As he sat in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.

and Yahweh sent you on a journey, and said,‘ Go, and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they are consumed.’

He made his son to pass through the fire, practiced sorcery, used enchantments, and dealt with those who had familiar spirits, and with wizards. He did much evil in Yahweh’s sight, to provoke him to anger.

So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him,“ Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”

In the fourth generation they will come here again, for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet full.”

We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God, and does his will, he listens to him.

Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in Yahweh’s sight. So Yahweh killed him.

The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
