From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.

After that, Abram traveled south and set up camp in the hill country, with Bethel to the west and Ai to the east. There he built another altar and dedicated it to the Lord, and he worshiped the Lord.

From there he moved on to the hill country east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. He built an altar to the LORD there, and he called on the name of the LORD.

塞特也生了一个儿子，起名叫以挪士。那时候，人开始求告耶和华的名。

雅各就给上帝与他说话的那地方起名叫伯特利。他们从伯特利起行，到以法他还有一段路程，拉结生产，生得十分艰难。

那时，我求告耶和华的名：“耶和华啊，求你救我！”

艾城和伯特利没有一人不出来追赶以色列人的。他们撇下敞开的城门，去追赶以色列人。

伯‧亚拉巴、洗玛脸、伯特利、

那时，凡求告主名的都必得救。’

写信给在哥林多上帝的教会—就是在基督耶稣里成圣、蒙召作圣徒的—以及所有在各处求告我主耶稣基督之名的人。基督是他们的主，也是我们的主。

我们要起来，上伯特利去，在那里我要筑一座坛给上帝，就是在我遭难的日子应允我，在我行走的路上与我同在的上帝。”

犹太人和希腊人并没有分别，因为人人都有同一位主，他也厚待求告他的每一个人。因为“凡求告主名的就必得救”。然而，人未曾信他，怎能求告他呢？未曾听见他，怎能信他呢？没有传道的，怎能听见呢？
