From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.

After that, Abram traveled south and set up camp in the hill country, with Bethel to the west and Ai to the east. There he built another altar and dedicated it to the Lord, and he worshiped the Lord.

From there he moved on to the hill country east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. He built an altar to the LORD there, and he called on the name of the LORD.

Then he proceeded from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to the Lord and called upon the name of the Lord.

He left from there to go to the mountain on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to Yahweh and called on Yahweh’s name.

塞特也生了一个儿子，起名叫以挪士。那时候，人才求告耶和华的名。

便雅悯人从迦巴起，住在密抹、亚雅、伯特利和属伯特利的乡村。

亚伯拉罕在别是巴栽上一棵垂丝柳树，又在那里求告耶和华永生神的名。

他就给那地方起名叫伯特利；但那地方起先名叫路斯。

当下，约书亚从耶利哥打发人往伯特利东边、靠近伯亚文的艾城去，吩咐他们说：“你们上去窥探那地。”他们就上去窥探艾城。

于是，约书亚和一切兵丁都起来，要上艾城去。约书亚选了三万大能的勇士，夜间打发他们前往，

亚述王来到亚叶，经过米矶仑，在密抹安放辎重。

也是他起先筑坛的地方；他又在那里求告耶和华的名。

到那时候，凡求告耶和华名的就必得救；因为照耶和华所说的，在锡安山，耶路撒冷必有逃脱的人，在剩下的人中必有耶和华所召的。”

雅各就给那地方起名叫伯特利。他们从伯特利起行，离以法他还有一段路程，拉结临产甚是艰难。

那时，我便求告耶和华的名，说：“耶和华啊，求你救我的灵魂！”

艾城和伯特利城没有一人不出来追赶以色列人的，撇了敞开的城门，去追赶以色列人。

亚拉巴、洗玛脸、伯特利、

到那时候，凡求告主名的，就必得救。’

写信给在哥林多神的教会，就是在基督耶稣里成圣、蒙召作圣徒的，以及所有在各处求告我主耶稣基督之名的人。基督是他们的主，也是我们的主。

我们要起来，上伯特利去，在那里我要筑一座坛给神，就是在我遭难的日子应允我的祷告、在我行的路上保佑我的那位。”

犹太人和希腊人并没有分别，因为众人同有一位主；他也厚待一切求告他的人。因为“凡求告主名的就必得救”。然而，人未曾信他，怎能求他呢？未曾听见他，怎能信他呢？没有传道的，怎能听见呢？
