From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.

Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: O Jehovah, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

And there was not a man left in Ai or Beth- el, that went not out after Israel: and they left the city open, and pursued after Israel.

And it shall be, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

unto the church of God which is at Corinth, even them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their Lord and ours:

and let us arise, and go up to Beth- el; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him:for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
