使结果实的土地成为盐碱地，这都因其上居民的邪恶。

后来整个埃及和迦南地区遭遇了饥荒和大灾难，我们的祖先找不到粮食。

这样，以色列的儿子们夹杂在前来的人群中也来买粮，因为迦南地也有饥荒。

义人有许多患难，但耶和华解救他脱离这一切，

神说：“我是神，是你父亲的神。你不要害怕下埃及去，因为我必使你在那里成为大国。我要亲自与你一同下埃及去，也必定把你带上来。约瑟要亲手合上你的眼。”
