The Lord had said to Abram,“ Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

Now Jehovah said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto the land that I will show thee:

Now Yahweh said to Abram,“ Leave your country, and your relatives, and your father’s house, and go to the land that I will show you.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

And he said,“ Brethren and fathers, listen: The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran,and said to him,‘ Get out of your country and from your relatives, and come to a land that I will show you.’Then he came out of the land of the Chaldeans and dwelt in Haran. And from there, when his father was dead, He moved him to this land in which you now dwell.And God gave him no inheritance in it, not even enough to set his foot on. But even when Abraham had no child, He promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him.But God spoke in this way: that his descendants would dwell in a foreign land, and that they would bring them into bondage and oppress them four hundred years.

And Joshua said to all the people,“ Thus says the Lord God of Israel:‘ Your fathers, including Terah, the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor, dwelt on the other side of the River in old times; and they served other gods.Then I took your father Abraham from the other side of the River, led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his descendants and gave him Isaac.

Look to Abraham your father, And to Sarah who bore you; For I called him alone, And blessed him and increased him.”

“ You are the Lord God, Who chose Abram, And brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans, And gave him the name Abraham;

“ If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,saying,‘ This man began to build and was not able to finish’?Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace.So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

And Terah took his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram’s wife, and they went out with them from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan; and they came to Haran and dwelt there.So the days of Terah were two hundred and five years, and Terah died in Haran.

“ Son of man, they who inhabit those ruins in the land of Israel are saying,‘ Abraham was only one, and he inherited the land. But we are many; the land has been given to us as a possession.’

Then He said to him,“ I am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.”

You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its farthest regions, And said to you,‘ You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away:

And I heard another voice from heaven saying,“ Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

Therefore“ Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”

Listen, O daughter, Consider and incline your ear; Forget your own people also, and your father’s house;So the King will greatly desire your beauty; Because He is your Lord, worship Him.
