耶和華說：「看啊，他們同屬一個民族，都用同一種語言，現在就做這樣的事，如果繼續下去，他們會為所欲為。

耶和華說：「看哪，他們是一族，又說一樣的語言，而且一開始就做這樣的事，此後他們決意做任何事，就沒有做不成的！

曰、斯民為一、言語亦同、今興是役、後之所謀、末由遏止、

曰、民弗異族、言弗殊音、今已有此作為、其後烏能底止。

主曰、是眾為一民、言語亦一、今既有此作為、後凡所欲為、無有不成、

The Lord said,“ If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.

He said,“ All these people are united and speak the same language. That is why they can do all this. Now they will be able to do anything they plan.

And the Lord said,“ Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.

“ Look!” he said.“ The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them!

The LORD said,“ If they have begun to do this as one people all having the same language, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.

And the Lord said,“ Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they have started to do, and now nothing which they plan to do will be impossible for them.

And the Lord said,“ Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.

And Jehovah said, Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is what they begin to do: and now nothing will be withholden from them, which they purpose to do.

The Lord said,“ If they have begun to do this as one people all having the same language, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.

And the LORD said, Behold, the people[ is] one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

And the LORD said,“ If as one people all sharing a common language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be beyond them.

Yahweh said,“ Behold, they are one people, and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do. Now nothing will be withheld from them, which they intend to do.

那時，天下人都用同一種語言，講同一種話。

年輕人啊，在年輕時要快樂，要在青春歲月裡使自己的心歡暢。心裡想做什麼就去做，眼睛想看什麼就去看。然而，要切記：上帝必照你所行的一切審判你。

耶和華看見人罪惡深重，心中終日思想惡事，

祂伸出臂膀，施展大能，驅散心驕氣傲的人。

耶和華上帝說：「看啊，那人已經與我們相似，能分辨善惡。現在，恐怕他會伸手去摘生命樹的果子吃，那樣他就會永遠活著。」

中午時分，以利亞譏諷他們說：「喊大聲一點，他肯定是神明！也許他在沉思冥想，也許太忙了，也許出遊了，也許睡著了，需要人叫醒他！」

祂從一人造出萬族，讓他們散居世界各地，又預先定下他們的期限和居住的疆界，

耶和華聞到這燔祭的馨香，心想：「雖然人從小就心存惡念，但我再不會因為人的緣故而咒詛大地，再不會毀滅一切生靈。

你們去呼求自己選擇的神明吧！你們有難，讓他們救你們吧！」

挪亞這三個兒子的後代遍佈天下。

列國為何咆哮？萬民為何枉費心機？世上的君王一同行動，官長聚集商議，要抵擋耶和華和祂所膏立的王。他們說：「讓我們掙斷他們的鎖鏈，脫去他們的捆索！」坐在天上寶座上的主必笑他們，祂必嘲笑他們。
