Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there.

Terah left Ur in Babylon. He took with him his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran. Terah also took his daughter- in- law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram. All of them left together to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they made their home there.

Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.

One day Terah took his son Abram, his daughter in law Sarai( his son Abram’s wife), and his grandson Lot( his son Haran’s child) and moved away from Ur of the Chaldeans. He was headed for the land of Canaan, but they stopped at Haran and settled there.

你是耶和华神，曾拣选亚伯兰，领他出迦勒底的吾珥，给他改名叫亚伯拉罕。

司提反说：“诸位父老弟兄请听！从前我们的祖宗亚伯拉罕在美索不达米亚，还没有住在哈兰的时候，荣耀的神向他显现，对他说：‘你要离开本地和亲族，往我所要指示你的地去。’他就离开迦勒底人的地方，住在哈兰。他父亲死了以后，神使他从那里搬到你们现在所住的地方。

亚伯兰就遵照耶和华的吩咐去了；罗得也和他同去。亚伯兰离开哈兰的时候年七十五岁。

耶和华又对他说：“我是耶和华，曾领你出迦勒底的吾珥，为要把这地赐你为业。”

那仆人从他主人的骆驼中取了十匹骆驼，他手中也带着他主人各样的贵重物品离开，起身往美索不达米亚去，到了拿鹤的城。

他拉共活了二百零五年，就死在哈兰。耶和华对亚伯兰说：“你要离开本地、本族、父家，往我所要指示你的地去。

约书亚对众百姓说：“耶和华—以色列的神如此说：‘古时你们的列祖，就是亚伯拉罕和拿鹤的父亲他拉，住在大河那边事奉别神。我将你们的祖宗亚伯拉罕从大河那边带出来，领他走遍迦南全地，又使他的子孙众多。我把以撒赐给他，

迦南的疆界是从西顿到基拉耳，直到迦萨，又到所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁，直到拉沙。

现在，我儿，听我的话，起来，逃往哈兰，到我哥哥拉班那里去，

因着信，亚伯拉罕蒙召的时候就遵命出去，往将来要承受为基业的地方去；他出去的时候还不知往哪里去。

雅各对他们说：“弟兄们，你们从哪里来？”他们说：“我们是从哈兰来的。”他对他们说：“你们认识拿鹤的孙子拉班吗？”他们说：“我们认识。”

他拉活到七十岁，生了亚伯兰、拿鹤和哈兰。这是他拉的后代。他拉生亚伯兰、拿鹤和哈兰；哈兰生罗得。哈兰死在他父亲他拉的面前，死在他的出生地迦勒底的吾珥。

话还没说完，看哪，利百加肩头上扛着水瓶出来。利百加是彼土利所生的；彼土利是亚伯拉罕的兄弟拿鹤妻子密迦的儿子。
