Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there.

Terah left Ur in Babylon. He took with him his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran. Terah also took his daughter- in- law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram. All of them left together to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they made their home there.

Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.

One day Terah took his son Abram, his daughter in law Sarai( his son Abram’s wife), and his grandson Lot( his son Haran’s child) and moved away from Ur of the Chaldeans. He was headed for the land of Canaan, but they stopped at Haran and settled there.

你是耶和華神，你揀選亞伯蘭，帶領他出了迦勒底的吾珥，改他的名字為亞伯拉罕。

司提反說：“各位父老兄弟請聽！我們的祖宗亞伯拉罕，在美索不達米亞，還沒有住在哈蘭的時候，榮耀的神向他顯現，對他說：‘你要離開本地本族，到我指示你的地方去。’他就離開迦勒底人的地方，住在哈蘭。他父親死後，神又叫他從那裡遷到你們現在所住的地方。

那僕人從他主人的駱駝裡取了十匹駱駝，帶著主人各樣的美物，起程往兩河之間的亞蘭去，到了拿鶴的城。

他拉死在哈蘭；他的壽數共二百零五歲。耶和華對亞伯蘭說：“你要離開本地、本族、父家，到我指示你的地方去。

約書亞對眾民說：“耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘古時你們的列祖，就是亞伯拉罕和拿鶴的父親他拉，住在大河那邊；他們事奉別的神。我把你們的祖先亞伯拉罕，從大河那邊帶來，領他走遍迦南地，使他的後裔增多，把以撒賜給他；

迦南人的境界是從西頓伸向基拉耳，直到迦薩；又伸向所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁，直到拉沙。

我兒啊，現在你要聽我的話；起來，逃到哈蘭我哥哥拉班那裡去吧。

因著信，亞伯拉罕在蒙召的時候，就聽命往他將要承受為業的地方去；他出去的時候，還不知道要往哪裡去。

雅各問這些牧人：“弟兄們，你們是哪裡來的？”他們回答：“我們是從哈蘭來的。”他問他們：“你們認識拿鶴的孫子拉班嗎？”他們回答：“我們認識。”

他拉活到七十歲，就生了亞伯蘭、拿鶴和哈蘭。以下是他拉的後代：他拉生亞伯蘭、拿鶴和哈蘭；哈蘭生羅得。哈蘭在他父親他拉之前，死在他出生之地，就是迦勒底的吾珥。

話還沒有說完，不料，利百加肩頭上扛著水瓶出來了。利百加是彼土利所生的。彼土利是亞伯拉罕兄弟拿鶴的妻子密迦的兒子。
