This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!”So Jacob got up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had placed as a support for his head, and set it up as a memorial stone, and poured oil on its top.Then he named that place Bethel; but previously the name of the city had been Luz.Jacob also made a vow, saying,“ If God will be with me and will keep me on this journey that I take, and give me food to eat and garments to wear,

So David sent servants and inquired about the woman. And someone said,“ Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?”

“ Be sure to comply with what I am commanding you this day: behold, I am going to drive out the Amorite from you, and the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

This shall be your northern border.‘ For your eastern border you shall also draw a boundary from Hazar enan to Shepham,and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down and reach to the slope on the east side of the Sea of Chinnereth.And the border shall go down to the Jordan, and its termination shall be at the Salt Sea. Then Abraham arose from mourning before his dead, and spoke to the sons of Heth, saying,
