上帝赐福给这一切生物，说：“水族要生养繁殖，充满海洋，禽鸟也要在地上多多地繁殖。”

耶和华赐给约伯晚年的福分比起初更多：他有一万四千只羊、六千只骆驼、一千对牛和一千头母驴。

“你看河马，它和你都是我造的，它像牛一样吃草。

上帝赐福给挪亚和他的儿子们，对他们说：“你们要生养众多，遍布地面。

你妻子在家中生养众多，像结实累累的葡萄树，你的桌子周围坐满了你的儿女，如同橄榄树苗。

我要眷顾你们，使你们生养众多，也要坚守与你们所立的约。

愿我们的仓库堆满各样的谷物，我们的羊在田野繁衍众多，成千上万。愿我们的牲口驮满货物，我们的城墙固若金汤，无人被掳，街上没有哭叫声。

耶和华的祝福使人富足，祝福中不加任何忧愁。

他们当称谢耶和华的慈爱，称谢祂为世人所行的奇事。

拉班却挽留他，说：“如果你肯赏光，请你留下来！因为我占卜得知上帝为了你的缘故才赐福给我。

我来以前，你的财产很少。上帝因为我的到来而赐福给你，使你财产大增。但我自己什么时候才能兴家立业呢？”

上帝又说：“我是全能的上帝，你要生养众多，一国，甚至多国必从你而出，许多君王必出自你的子孙。
