Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Some people plant to please their desires controlled by sin. From these desires they will harvest death. Others plant to please the Holy Spirit. From the Spirit they will harvest eternal life.

For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

爾曹若從肉體而行、必死、若以聖神而滅身之邪行、必生、

善義之果、必被行和平之人以和平而種、

勿自欺、天主不可侮也、人所種者何、所穫者亦何、

惟衣被主耶穌基督、爾為身慮、勿致縱慾、

穫者得傭值、而積實至永生、使播者穫者同樂、

惟爾曹耕惡穫尤、食享虛果、爾曹竟賴己之作為、倚恃壯士眾多、

以我觀之、耕惡種孽、所穫亦若是、

流淚播種者、必歡躍收成、攜穀種以播者、哭泣而往、迨負禾束而歸、必然歡欣、

不義者仍不義、污穢者仍污穢、義者仍義、聖者仍聖、

當以愛天主之愛而自守、希望我主耶穌基督矜憐、使爾得永生、

朝當播種、夕勿停止爾手、因爾不知萌芽者、或此或彼、或二者俱美、

爾昔日所行之事、今日所恥者、獲何益益原文作果哉、因此事終致死亡、今爾得釋於罪、為天主之僕、獲成聖之果、終致永生、

凡為我名、舍屋宇、兄弟、姊妹、父母、妻子、田疇者、必受百倍、且得永生、

毋為可壞之糧而勞、當為存至永生之糧而勞、即人子所將賜爾者、蓋父天主曾以印印證之矣、

飲我所予之水者、永不渴、我所予之水、必在其中成源、湧至永生、

彼所播者風、所穫者暴風、所種者不長、即長不實、即實異邦人食之、

凡爾播種於諸水畔、隨在得牧牛驢者、即為有福、

未有在今世不得多倍、來世不得永生者也、○

所種者麥、所穫者蒺藜、雖勞無益、緣主怒震烈、無所收穫、自覺慚愧、○

播惡者必斂禍、天主震怒、必盡滅之、天主震怒必盡滅之或作譴責之杖已備

然我蒙矜恤、乃因耶穌基督欲先於我身顯其一切恆忍、使後之信主得永生者、以我為模範、

彼等如蠢獸、天然受生、特為人執而宰之、毀謗所不知、自取敗亡沈淪、而受作惡之報、

亦勿以爾之肢體獻於罪、為不義之器、當獻己於天主、如由死復活之人、且以肢體獻於天主、為行義之器、

使我賴其恩寵而得稱義、希望為嗣子得永生、
