所以，無論誰都不可誇耀人；因為萬有都是你們的，或保羅，或亞波羅，或磯法，或世界，或生，或死，或現今的事，或將來的事，全是你們的，而你們是屬基督的，基督是屬上帝的。

弟兄們，為你們的緣故，我拿這些事應用到我自己和亞波羅身上，讓你們從我們學到「不可過於聖經所記」這話的意思，免得你們自高自大，看重這個，看輕那個。使你與人不同的是誰呢？你所有的有哪一個不是領受的呢？若是領受的，為何自誇，彷彿不是領受的呢？

法利賽人獨自站着，自言自語地禱告說：『上帝啊，我感謝你，我不像別人勒索、不義、姦淫，也不像這個稅吏。

他們那些受割禮的，連自己也不守律法；他們要你們受割禮，不過是要拿你們的肉體誇口。
