各人應該省察自己所作的，這樣，他引以為榮的，就只在自己而不在別人了；

我們引以為榮的，就是我們處世為人，是本著神的聖潔和真誠，不是靠著人的聰明，而是靠著神的恩典，對你們更是這樣，這是我們的良心可以作證的。

心中背道的，必飽嘗自己行為的惡果；善人也因自己所行的，得到善報。

我被你們論斷，或被人間法庭審判，我都認為是極小的事，連我自己也不論斷自己。我雖然問心無愧，卻不能因此自以為義，因為判斷我的是主。

所以人應當省察自己，然後才吃這餅，喝這杯。

耶和華啊！求你試驗我，鑒察我，熬煉我的肺腑心腸。

我的意思就是，你們各人說，我是保羅派的，我是亞波羅派的，我是磯法派的，我是基督派的。基督是分開的嗎？保羅為你們釘了十字架嗎？你們受洗是歸入保羅的名下嗎？

所以，誰都不可拿人來誇耀，因為一切都是你們的。無論是保羅，是亞波羅，是磯法，是世界，是生，是死，是現在的事，是將來的事，都是你們的。你們是屬基督的，基督是屬神的。

弟兄們，我為你們的緣故，拿了這些事來比擬自己和亞波羅，讓你們在我們身上學到的，不會超過聖經所記的，免得你們中間有人自高自大，看重這個輕視那個。使你與人不同的是誰呢？你有甚麼不是領受的呢？既然是領受的，為甚麼要自誇，好像不是領受的呢？

法利賽人站著，禱告給自己聽，這樣說：‘神啊，我感謝你，我不像別人，勒索、不義、姦淫，也不像這個稅吏。

那些受割禮的人，自己也不遵守律法，反而要你們受割禮，為的是要藉著你們的肉身誇口。
