人人都应该省察自己的行为，即使觉得有可夸之处，自己知道就好了，不必在别人面前炫耀。

我现在所做的，将来还会继续做下去，为了要断绝那些投机分子的机会，使他们无法吹嘘自己的职分与我们一样。其实这些人是假使徒，为人诡诈，冒充基督的使徒。

祂必杀我，我毫无指望，但我仍要在祂面前申辩。

我们感到自豪的是：我们本着上帝所赐的圣洁和诚实为人处世，倚靠祂的恩典，不倚靠人的聪明才智，对待你们更是这样。这一点，我们的良心可以作证。

背弃正道，自食恶果；善人行善，必得善报。

我对你们或别人给我的评价毫不介意，我也不评价我自己。就算我今日问心无愧，也不能自以为义，因为评价我的是主。

所以，人要先自我省察，才可以吃这饼喝这杯。

耶和华啊，求你察验我，试炼我，鉴察我的心思意念。

我的意思是你们有人说：“我是跟随保罗的”，有人说：“我是跟随亚波罗的”，有人说：“我是跟随彼得的”，有人说：“我是跟随基督的”。难道基督是分成几派的吗？替你们钉十字架的是保罗吗？你们是奉保罗的名受洗的吗？

因此，谁都不要仗着人夸耀，因为万物都属于你们，无论是保罗、亚波罗、彼得、世界、生命、死亡、现在的事或将来的事都属于你们，你们属于基督，基督属于上帝。

弟兄姊妹，为了你们的益处，我以亚波罗和自己作例子，好让你们效法我们不越过圣经的准则，免得有人自高自大、厚此薄彼。谁使你与众不同呢？你有哪一样不是领受的呢？既然一切都是领受的，你为什么还自夸，好像不是领受的？

法利赛人站在那里自言自语地祷告说，‘上帝啊！我感谢你，因为我不像别人那样勒索、不义、通奸，也不像这税吏。

那些接受割礼的人自己也不能遵行律法。他们要你们接受割礼，无非是想借着你们的肉体夸耀。
