And as for all who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.

May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God.

May peace come to all those who follow this standard, and mercy even to the Israel of God!

It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary,“ It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring. Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham.Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham:“ All nations will be blessed through you.”So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.For in Scripture it says:“ See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,“ The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”and,“ A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they disobey the message— which is also what they were destined for.But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (niv)

And he is then also the father of the circumcised who not only are circumcised but who also follow in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised. (niv)

A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical.No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God. (niv)

“ Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. In the place where it was said to them,‘ You are not my people,’ they will be called‘ children of the living God.’ (niv)

But all the descendants of Israel will find deliverance in the Lord and will make their boast in him. (niv)

When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him,“ Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” (niv)

“ Tell Aaron and his sons,‘ This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:“‘“ The Lord bless you and keep you;the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’“ So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.” (niv)

Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. (niv)

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. (niv)

Then the Spirit came on Amasai, chief of the Thirty, and he said:“ We are yours, David! We are with you, son of Jesse! Success, success to you, and success to those who help you, for your God will help you.” So David received them and made them leaders of his raiding bands. (niv)

Lord, do good to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart.But those who turn to crooked ways the Lord will banish with the evildoers. Peace be on Israel. (niv)
