For we know that our old self was crucified with Him in order that sin’s dominion over the body may be abolished, so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin,

For we are the circumcision, the ones who serve by the Spirit of God, boast in Christ Jesus, and do not put confidence in the flesh—

For I didn’t think it was a good idea to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, catastrophes, persecutions, and in pressures, because of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.I have become a fool; you forced it on me. I should have been endorsed by you, since I am not in any way inferior to the“ super-apostles,” even though I am nothing.

So no one should boast in human leaders, for everything is yours—

My eager expectation and hope is that I will not be ashamed about anything, but that now as always, with all boldness, Christ will be highly honored in my body, whether by life or by death.For me, living is Christ and dying is gain.

But everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ.More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of Him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them filth, so that I may gain Christand be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ— the righteousness from God based on faith.My goal is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,assuming that I will somehow reach the resurrection from among the dead.

So if you have been raised with the Messiah, seek what is above, where the Messiah is, seated at the right hand of God.Set your minds on what is above, not on what is on the earth.For you have died, and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God.

It will be said to Me: Righteousness and strength is only in the Lord.” All who are enraged against Him will come to Him and be put to shame.All the descendants of Israel will be justified and find glory through the Lord.

If I placed my confidence in gold or called fine gold my trust,if I have rejoiced because my wealth is great or because my own hand has acquired so much,

Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

except that in town after town the Holy Spirit testifies to me that chains and afflictions are waiting for me.But I count my life of no value to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.

But I will continue to do what I am doing, in order to deny the opportunity of those who want an opportunity to be regarded just as our equals in what they boast about.

Absolutely not! God must be true, even if everyone is a liar, as it is written: That You may be justified in Your words and triumph when You judge.But if our unrighteousness highlights God’s righteousness, what are we to say? I use a human argument: Is God unrighteous to inflict wrath?Absolutely not! Otherwise, how will God judge the world?

Why brag about evil, you hero! God’s faithful love is constant.

Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.

For Christ’s love compels us, since we have reached this conclusion: If One died for all, then all died.And He died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died for them and was raised.From now on, then, we do not know anyone in a purely human way. Even if we have known Christ in a purely human way, yet now we no longer know Him in this way.
