May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

I never want to brag about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through that cross the ways of the world have been crucified as far as I am concerned. And I have been crucified as far as the ways of the world are concerned.

Wherefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours;

So Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Beth- shemesh, which belongeth to Judah.

Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God endureth continually.

God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?

who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father:

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that one died for all, therefore all died;and he died for all, that they that live should no longer live unto themselves, but unto him who for their sakes died and rose again.Wherefore we henceforth know no man after the flesh: even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.
