與我在一起的提多，雖然是希臘人，也沒有被迫受割禮。

它們雖然藉著自造宗教、謙卑低微、苦待身體，外表有智慧，但在對付放任肉體的事上，沒有任何價值。

因為這樣的人是假使徒，是詭詐的工人，他們裝做基督的使徒。

憑自己講話的人，是尋求自己的榮耀；但是，尋求那派他來者之榮耀的，他才是真實的，在他裡面沒有不義。

他們所做的一切事，都是為了給人看：他們把自己的經文盒加寬，把衣服的穗子加長；

但法利賽教派中的一些信徒站起來，說：「必須給外邦人行割禮，並吩咐他們遵守摩西的律法。」

有些人傳揚基督固然是出於嫉妒和紛爭，但也有些人是出於好意。

事實上，那些受割禮的人自己也不遵守律法。他們要你們受割禮，是為了以你們的肉體誇耀。

耶穌對他們說：「你們就是那些在人面前顯示自己為義的，但是神知道你們的心。人看為高貴的，在神面前卻是可憎惡的。

「你們禁食的時候，不要像偽善的人那樣愁眉苦臉。他們裝出難看的樣子，好讓人看出他們在禁食。我確實地告訴你們：他們已經得到了他們的報償。

他們侵吞寡婦的家產，又假意做很長的禱告。這些人將受到更重的懲罰。」

每個人不要只注重自己的事，也要注重別人的事。

其實我們不敢把自己與某些自我推薦的人同列或比較。當他們以自己來衡量自己，以自己來比較自己的時候，他們是不領悟的。

所以你施捨的時候，不要在自己前面吹號，像偽善的人那樣。他們在會堂裡和大街上這樣做，是為了要得人的榮耀。我確實地告訴你們：他們已經得到了他們的報償。

你們也是這樣，你們外面對人顯出公義，裡面卻充滿了偽善和罪惡。

但我一看見他們的行為不符合福音的真理，就在大家面前對磯法說：「你身為猶太人，如果像外邦人而不像猶太人那樣生活，怎麼還要強求外邦人像猶太人一樣呢？」

其實我過去再三地告訴你們，而現在又流著眼淚告訴你們：有許多人的行事為人，是基督十字架的仇敵。

「你們禱告的時候，不要像偽善的人那樣。他們喜愛站在會堂裡和十字路口禱告，好讓人看見。我確實地告訴你們：他們已經得到了他們的報償。
