实际上，你们当中必定也会有结派的事，好让那些经过考验的人在你们中间能显露出来。

有一个名叫西门的人，自称是个大人物，一向在那城里行邪术，使撒马利亚的居民十分惊讶。所有的人，从卑微的到尊贵的，都听从他。他们说：“这个人就是那被称为‘神的大能者’的。”他们听从他，因为他长期以来用邪术使他们十分惊讶。

因为你们做为聪明人，乐意容忍愚妄的人！

对那制造分裂的人，在第一次、第二次的警戒以后，就要弃绝他，

有一次，我们往祷告的地方去，迎面来了一个有占卜邪灵附身的女仆。她用算命为她的主人们带来大量的生意。她跟着保罗和我们，喊叫说：“这些人是至高神的奴仆，向你们传讲救恩的道。”她一连几天都这样做。保罗厌烦了，就转过身对那邪灵说：“我奉耶稣基督的名，吩咐你从她身上出来！”那邪灵立刻就出来了。女仆的主人们看见他们的生意没有希望了，就揪住保罗和赛拉斯，把他们拖到街市上去见首领们。

要知道，悖逆如同占卜的罪，顽梗就像拜偶像的恶。你既然厌弃耶和华的话，耶和华也厌弃你作王。”

不过，在子民当中也出现过假先知；照样，在你们当中也会有假教师。他们会偷偷引进使人灭亡的异端，甚至否认那救赎他们的主，给自己招来快速的灭亡。
